Not happy with the fresh veg section I have bought 3 batch of potatoes and some chilli’s and these are the results.
Feel like it’s particularly bad today. I understand all supermarkets don’t date low risk fruit and veg anymore due to wastage but there needs to be a way to control it, the consumer is paying the price for the companies not loose money on wastage. Lidl was particularly bad today. I walked past the potatoes and they absolutely smelt vile down the aisle, how are the staff not smelling it? I had to stand there for 5 mins picking out a good bag, Then I picked up some peppers and as the lady was scanning them I noticed they were all soggy and gone off, had to get more, I got home and the Chillis I brought were all gone off as well so had to put them in the bin and then go out to get more, then my partners took the milk out to put in the fridge and the date on it is for tomorrow
Fantastic store. Great variety of products, good prices & lovely staff
Out of 6+ tills there was only 1 open on a friday afternoon, which left people queuing for 25+ minutes. This was not helped by the fact the woman behind the till clearly didn't know what she was doing and kept buzzing for assistance. Fair enough if you're new but why are management allowing new people to run the tills alone during peak times? Very unorganised and very frustrating for the 15+ customers in the queue.
