This is a cracking local cafe that does exactly what it says on the tin - breakfast and lunch with a lovely menu that is cooked almost on front of you! The food was great and came out piping hot and as can be seen from photos - portions are outstanding for the prices. The staff are lovely and judging by the conversations, many of the people coming here are regulars, which is not surprising for the welcome, quality and value for money.

It's hard to find a deal in 2022 but this little cafe offers fantastic value for money. A proper fry up with black pudding and fried bread. A classic and a wide selection on the menu for anyone's tastes. Great choices on drinks and friendly staff.Food: 5/5

Popped in with my son for a brekkie. Was really surprised. Very clean and plenty of seating. The food was the best I've ever had in a cafe. Everything was perfect. The staff were all lovely. I'm not joking you've got to try this cafe in canton. You won't regret it. Mmmmmmm.Food: 5/5

Not the best of places, but the food tastes good. Unfortunately, they forgot my beans on my order, so I asked for them again, and they still didn't bring them. I think they could improve by giving every table a menu, rather than a big one by the till.

I don't know why this place was recorded as permanently closed.  I would be devastated if it was!  So I reported this as incorrect, and now Google shows it as being open again.  I've been coming here - with friends, colleagues and family for over 10 years.  It's one of the few cafes who will happily swap something you don't like on the set menu, for something you do.  If the owners are reading this - you'll hopefully know me, as I always have a large breakfast, and swap the black pudding for an extra hash brown.  The staff are so lovely - especially Maria - so patient and calm even if a million things are happening at once.  Amazing.  The food is never swimming in grease - and it's never too dry - they cook bacon in a way that makes me drool and salivate with every bite!  The whole plateful is just divine perfection.  They seem to know exactly how I like my food and that's always slightly overcooked.  The coffee is pretty lush too - you don't get a skin on the top - it's a really nice blend.  Oh - and the price is right too - I spent £13 on two meals and 3 cappuccinos.  Look how much you get!!!  But beware - this is a *very* popular cafe - if you don't time it right - you might have to wait for a table - but they'll squeeze you in somehow!

Used to use this cafe a lot .......now its not so good . Gone very expensive in comparison . To others . Used to have tasty generous bacon ..now its plain and tasteless .  Last visit I asked fir fried bread with brekky  they gave toast . I asked for fried bread that was missing.  They brought it out 2 x full so 4 x half's pieces.  Said there's extra and pay for it at the end ..why shouod I pay for it when I was asked of I wanted it ?  The guy was abrupt . Reminds me of humpty  dumpty  not pleasant at all . The woman was polite though .  Then trued it today woth my old buddy .thought maybe they had a bad day. But eggs were firm not runny ..and they I'm sire they uses to do free tea or coffee woth brekky  . Almost £10 for 1 breakfast and a coffee ..rip off ..won't be seeing us no more.  Hope you like your new decor cause you putting up the prices and decreasing the quality has pushed us and others away ..  Bye bye such a shame
