A lovely fabric shop with amazing prices. So much assortment and beats the prices at other stores by miles! I bought some short pike and long pile white fur fabric, and two spools of cotton, and it only came to £20 which is amazing. Staff friendly, patient and attentive. My card decided to play up but they were so patient and it wasn’t a bother at all :. I’ll definitely be returning! Highly recommend. Thank you so much.
Frankly, if I had the choice I'd never have spent my money in this store, but frustratingly, they were the only store which had what I needed, so I had to swallow my pride, make my purchase and leave. Simply put, other than the young brunette girl, absolutely nobody was willing to give me the time of day, even to the point where another member of staff older blonde woman was willing to overlook the fact that the brunette was in the middle of answering questions that I needed answering and pull her away from me to help another customer. During my time in the store, I listened carefully to how the other members of staff treated 'other' customers and there was a clear difference in the level of customer service they received compared with mine - 'other' customers were asked qualifying questions to determine their options; were shown around the store pointing out which materials may be best suited; a pleasant manner was used. Me? I just felt like they wanted me out of the store and were reluctant to make any effort. I have my suspicions as to why, but even if my suspicions are incorrect, there's no other explanation for the poor level of customer service I received or more accurately, didn't receive. If you have a choice, take your money and spend it elsewhere.
I went here to get fabric and accessoires for a project. Its our first time sewing something and the staff was very helpful in giving advice on what to get, and she even tried her best to get the cheapest deals for us, which was unexpected but very awesome. I will come here again for our next project.
I've always been to Abakhan in the Northern Quarter for my fabric needs because it's convenient and everything is in one place. I'd never even heard of Leon's. Its fantastic. Same fabrics as other places but at least 50% cheaper and the range is fantastic. Went for cotton fabric and elastic making face masks. The elastic was cheap but really good quality, better than other shops I'd been to. I totally recommend a visit to this place if you need fabric. It's a warehouse so it can be overwhelming but give yourself the time to properly browse. There are social distancing measures in place. Only a certain number of people allowed in the shop at any one time and face masks must be worn.
The ladies at Leon's could not have been more helpful with my somewhat bizarre requests for gold fabric to go around the base of a Christmas tree for an installation in London... on three separate occasions! They gathered samples together, sent photos of fabrics by email to me in Oxford, measured out roles to see what they had left in stock, offered alternatives and, when I found the one I needed, they helped with next day urgent deliveries. Absolutely faultless customer service. Thank you all so much. Hugely appreciated.

This store provides all manner of materials for sewing enthusiasts. A very large amount of a variety of stock with knowledgeable, helpful assistants.
This shop is very overwhelming, there are piles and piles of fabric, I wouldn’t know where to begin! My main problem with this shop is that I was after ribbons and they were stocked behind the counter. I was advised that I wasn’t supposed to be in this area so went round to the customer side of the counter where I couldn’t see the ribbons at all. I had to explain what I needed and be brought over the selection. I then felt obliged to buy what had been brought as i felt really awkward. Not disabled autistic friendly at all.
Cool, funny staff with a good knowledge of products lot of fabrics.
