Lemongrass is a Thai restaurant with modern decor and an excellent range of choices on the menu. Thai food is always delicious and Lemongrass was no exception. Though a little pricey, its yellow curry and egg fried rice was a perfect blend of sweetness and spice. As for the service, the food arrived quite quickly and the waiter was most patient for the indecisive customer. I can say that for people with allergies, this establishment is very safe and caters to all consumers. My friends’ meals all contained peanuts so they took great care to keep my food separate, yet still brought it out with the rest of the food, so we could start eating at the same time. Very thoughtful touch. My only recommendation would be to have different menus for lunch and dinner. Perhaps have the lunch options a little cheaper too - I can’t say it is particularly budget friendly especially for students. “The Udon noodles could have been a little spicier” my friend also said. All in all, I would definitely recommend Lemongrass to anyone who wants a delicious meal in a beautiful setting.
I absolutely loved this place! Besides the really good food, every single person of the staff was truly some of the best I've ever encountered in a restaurant. I went for a starter of scallops, which came in a dish of four and each of them were really tasty, meaty and quite big. followed by the Singaporean vermicelli, suggested by Vish, the lovely waitress that helped us out all evening. Truly impressed by this restaurant, as you walk in, the nice vibes and cool interiors takes you to a different location.
Amazing authentic Thai food!! Super flavoursome and really good portions sizes. Great staff, really friendly and accommodating - especially for large tables. Gorgeous interior and I can’t wait to come back again.
Very beautiful restaurant, customer service was really good and the food was delicious! Loved the beef and the chicken, rice was full of flavour we got the coconut rice. Would recommend for a night out! Recommended dishesCoconut Rice
Typical "Thai" restaurant, on the corner of "Russell Road & Smithdown Road" - parking outside was easy, easy access for disabled, venue is nice, food is very good and service is excellent!!! It was not very busy when we were there on a friday evening, so, not alot more to say really, apart from, would we go again??? - "Yes"!!! "Recommended"!! Vegetarian options: It's a "Thai restaurant" so lots of veggie options available, but, be careful if you have a "Nut allergy" in the food of course, but, also, check with them "no contact" in preparation!!! ok Parking: Easy outside street parking. Also, major bus route right outside on Smithdown Road!!! Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access for disabled, also, plenty of room between tables for wheelchairs etc.....
We went for dinner last night and to be honest this is by far the best Thai food I've had outside of Thailand and I've been to Thailand 3 times so far. Incredible food, big portions, super friendly and helpful service.
Great and beautiful ambience. The food was delicious from the starters, down to desert. The staff were very lovely and nice. We had an amazing time there, absolutely loved it.
We tend to get a takeaway from Lemongrass which is always excellent. The only tip I would say for takeaway is that the delivery service can take quite a while, but the restaurant have online ordering which is much quicker to collect plus I’m sure there’s a discount for collecting. We went to dine in on Saturday night and the food was even better than what we’ve had for take out. The staff are absolutely lovely too.
The food is second to none. Had the special Sui Mai to start which blew my mind, and the pineapple rice was spectacular. Staff were also lovely to a fault. The best Thai food outside and possibly inside Thailand itself.
We went for dinner on Christmas Eve, having had takeaway and been before, I was so disappointed with the experience on this occasion. My partner is vegetarian so we ordered the vegetarian sharing platter to start, when it came to him ordering his main course, it became apparent that virtually none of the main courses are vegetarian as they contain shrimp paste, with only a couple of options now available, he ordered a tofu stir fry. The sharing platter arrived, my partner took a bite of one item only to find out that it was a prawn and the platter was not the veg option but the classic meat one. So we sent it back and waited for the correct one. After a long wait it arrived and I can only describe it as some almost raw and flavourless vegetables covered in a greasy tasteless batter, it was so unpleasant that we didn’t eat much of it. Main courses arrived, I’d ordered a chicken pad Thai with extra prawns. When it arrived I soon noticed there wasn’t a single prawn and it was beef, not chicken, it also smelled and tasted very greasy and totally put me off eating anything else. The tofu stir fry was ok, but bland. Had it not been for the bowl of prawn crackers I had, I wouldn’t have eaten anything. They did remove most of the food from the bill so I can’t complain about that. I just feel they really need to step up their vegetarian options. I was baffled how they got our orders so wrong. So disappointed
