I have been a patient at Leicester Terrace all my life and my mum has been a patient there for 90 years ( even before the NHS). In those days you had to pay to be registered with a doctor. There was no such thing as free health care! We are all very lucky these days. The doctors and nurses are brilliant. They have helped me a great deal over the last 3 years. Every time I have phoned for an emergency appointment I have been seen by a doctor or nurse on the same day. They also have an online booking system so you can book routine appointments online. It is sometimes difficult to get an appointment with a particular doctor, so that can be a bit awkward if you like to keep to the same doctor. But I don't think this is any different to any other Health Care Centre. They are all very overstretched! As for the receptionists, well they are typical of all doctors receptionists. Some are lovely and will go out or their way to help you and some are rude and unhelpful . But I guess they have a very difficult job at times and they are only human. We all have bad days. Overall Leicester Terrace is a great Health Care Centre and I would recommend it to everyone.

I have now been waiting 45 minutes to be seen. My appt was at 3pm and it's now 3.45pm. I hAve been to reception and have been told there is a patient in with the doctor and two more after me!!! I said to the receptionist it would be nice to be informed of this or at least be advised that the doctor is running late. Her reply was unless the doctor advises her she does not know!! Yes I understand that emergencies happen and this may be the case but this happens nearly every time I have an appointment. I make sure I am here at least ten minutes before my appointment. Common courtesy of advising patients if the doctor is running late would be good.

I totally disagree with these 2 reviews. This practice is caring and fully understanding of your needs. In my experience I have been looked after extremely well for many many years. When I have contact the surgery in an emergency they always make sure I see either a practice nurse or a GP the same day. A routine appointment to see a particular doctor does take longer. Unfortunately many people think they should able to see a GP when it is convenient for them do to so. I have witnessed patients being very demanding and rude to the receptionist when they need an appointment time that suits them, not when an appointment is available.

A number of the receptionist staff are very rude. I've witnessed it a few times. Very rarely do I go in and not see it. It's taken me three weeks to try and get appointment and I'm still waiting. Have been trying to call them a good few times now and haven't gotten through to anyone. As soon as I can I will be moving. 3 stars because the doctor's, nurses and midwives are decent.

The doctors are astounding, however the reception staff have behaved in a disgusting manner, openly lying to my partner in regards of our 8 month baby.
