It has one lift and the lift is very slow when you waiting. In past I did computering and now doing flower arranging. Staff are helpful. Rooms are not easy to find especially for flower arranging.
Went here years ago. Studied A levels all the way to Foundation Degree but also did Level 2 Maths, English and IT. Loved this College. Really good teachers. Lessons were inspiring, the classrooms were often nice and big with huge windows to allow in lots of natural light. Computer suites also good as well as a library to take out books and use Photoshop on computers.
Studied 1 year so far at this place. Studied Cyber Security and Networking L3 First Year. It’s a good place overall. But needs to improve the teachers there teaching computing are good but need to help students more and give them more support. This is to ensure every student gets a good grade. This college has ok facilities but needs to improve as in most of the classes the computers don’t even work. Aswell as this the college is decent but there is again a lot of space to improve on.
outdated equipment, lack of staff and No structure to the courses provided. Something to note; the English teaching staff try to talk you out of doing the GCSE or outright refuse to let you retake the subject to improve your grades since '' A C is good enough so there is no point'' if you wanna waste a few years here then this place is perfect.
I think some lessons are really good such as the printing lessons and inking things but the rest are just rushed around and we end up running out of time and the photography especially as well. The only thing i struggle with is getting there really early on mondays and wednesdays as the buses are all packed and the tutors think its great that the attendance matters and i was a abbey campus student and they said it doesnt matter but you have to be on time all the time but they say differntly and also ibwas told youre not allowed to charge your phone and clearly youre allowed as long as theres nothing in the plug sockets that says do mot use! Honestly its good but the lack of staff need to change tbf on my opinion I dont like the fact teachers are making us literally work on mondays as we have lessons all day long and some of the teachers sometimes need to wind their necks in on the way they speak as well like i was trying to prepair for my maths exam and i was told not to and inwas angry because i wasnt allowed to be given the opportunity to sort that out..also, i was blamed for something which wasnt all my fault and was told i wasnt capable of doing a level 2 course and im on a ehcp till im 25 so i can have funding they told me and my mum that they cant do that all because they only care about money so i was so upset and left this college. Wednesdays i used to go college, then go home eat then having to come back and the english was super slow it was unbelievable. They also said the same to my friend as well and i was that unhappy about it and hes even had to do a level 1 course again all because they said the same thing to him as they said to me and not only that he got the same grades as me! Pass for everything distinction for photography so think twice before you do somehing St Margarets campus! Other than this i met so many great friends and they helped me along the way but mostly there was a few people there for me thay were there for me ever sice but some of them were sticking up for others and i was having flashbacks from the past and it was making me feel ill but im not going into detail. But this was one of the best experiences i had but when my friends turned down on occasions inwas incredibky heart broken thinking they'd never be my friend again but this wasnt true it was only one friend thank goodness. The manager here is absolutely terrrible he blames people for things and then sticks uo for them and sets us up to be bad examples of the college which is so unfair. But thats all i can say about that. My bad review is on abbey.campuses page. Thank you Cameron Brandow
it’s a’ight, i guess. i like it here. chips are good in the canteen, i like how they come with ketchup and stuff and eco friendly cutlery : stairs are a bit of a drag tho
Best campus in Leicester! Staff's are very friendly and helpful, Arguably the best College in UK and the biggest! Must recommended to everyone!
No Support for students who need exstra support and the computer science course staff bar a few are not very helpfull and would happly leave the course and do other things
Very good staff and courses, easy to get to as it's next to st Margarets bus station
A bit hidden away from the main road however still easy to locate, it's right next to the big bus station St Margaret’s
