Story

Fullhurst Community College is an over-subscribed 11-16 comprehensive school in Braunstone, West Leicester. In October 2012 Ofsted graded the school ‘Good’, which reflected the improvements the school has made and the record summer examinations results over the last 3 years. The Acting Principal is Steven Piggott. Fullhurst opened in 1991 following the closure of King Richard III School and Newarke School. It was initially located on the King Richard site while a significant refurbishment of the Newarke site took place. It moved into the Newarke buildings in 1992.

I’m a year 7 student and I absolutely love it. Although there is a few flaws and teachers I do not get along with, everyday I’m sure to come out feeling happy or proud. I have to admit that it does have its share of ‘problem’ students and incidents but they always get quickly resolved. Although people reckon there is bullying, I have not witnessed any. I have only witnessed the good chemistry between students and teachers and student to student, no matter the year group. If you are hesitant to send your child there, don’t be. It will be the best experience of their lives.

I am davidm year 8 again lol, i am quite a nervous person but bullying is a problem ofc, especially for asians, we are welcome here so deal with it!!!! i look chinese without being actually chinese and i got a underpriced energy drink splashed at me by an exhausted year 10 lad and got burped on by a acne ridden year 9; people cant take me seriously but im quite cool i have a sense of humour!!! i dont think our +0.65 reflects on all students because some of us are well crazy! Learning in fullhurst is straightforward and easy if u listen even as less as 50% of the time, 50% chance that cover teachers dont encourage you to learn in the best way possible, especially science; show us a video about the subject and we'll understand what u want us to learn. Test results are never under 4! Also, i think teachers should lessen the C1's and C2's of some students because their either popular or once in a while bad as if they get more C1's and C2's, theyll never get better. Ive never really had 'actual' detentions and i'm lucky but i still want to be a bit rebellious and not bored all the time so i dont become super perfect but just 'good'. I want to be quite popular in 8B8-5 because i am not boring! I need a good rep cause i wanna slowly get comfortable with talking to people cause of my 'autism'. I am smart as well lol and i like people being rebellious and sometimes 'act' good cause u know we aint gonna get shouted at. I still do wanna learn and get a job because im fairly responsible as well and im on target on much of my lessons.
