Since most of the tills were removed and self-service tills were installed, the queues are horrendous of the few manned tills that are left only one or two of these are actually manned. Most of the elderly who use this shop really struggle, especially the ones who want to pay with cash as the trolley tills only take cards. I have witnessed on at least one occasion an elderly person just abandoned their trolley and left the store. On my last visit, when a member of staff was required to authorise something I was purchasing, they first finished their conversation with a friend of there's and sauntered towards me with absolutely zero urgency. All in all, it was a pretty negative experience.
Visited the cafe to purchase over 60's offer of soup, roll & unlimited hot drink. Ordered a latte & was bluntly told that wasn't included which made me assume she meant a hot drink was excluded. There was no suggestion for an alternate option so I had to ask if a basic coffee was available, which it was. I have been to other stores that have self serve drinks facilties where I was able to choose whatever hot drink I wanted. I dread to think what reception I would have been given if I had asked for a refill. Won't be visiting this cafe again.
Can you please get rid of 24/7 sign. It’s never open after 10. On the website it says 24 hours but after 10 its locked. They can see you but ignore like they didn’t see you. It’s not the first time, I have been already told that they will look into it and make sure it’s opened at correct times as mentioned. Date of visit = 12th/April/2023 at 5:00
Sick of travelling to store which is advertised as 24 hours when working nightshift and finding it closed without explanation. This has been on nights when the shop is supposed to be open. Using other shops which are more reliable.
Says to this day it is open 24hrs, checked website as well as google on opening times. 10min drive one way just to be greeted to a locked door at 1am on wednesday. False advertisement at its finest.
Wasted visit this evening. Went in to look for a budget product. Sold Out, which is very common for this store. Café closed as well. To finish, thief's stole huge load of drink. Not good is it?.....
It's a good Asda, the cafe staff are lovely. The toilets are clean and the floor staff are knowledgeable. If you are going to use a manned checkout and use the Asda reward app make extra sure the till person has scanned the app. I've been twice now and the lady behind the till said both times she scanned the app for me to only find out later at home she hadn't; the first time I can put down to an error but it's happened again. I won't be using her checkout anymore when the self scanners are unavailable. Editing to less stats for being thanked for leaving a lovely positive review when really whomever from Asda read it obviously didn't read it fully because it isn't a completely positive review - the negatives are just being ignored. I'd rather not receive a reply than a thanks for a lovely review reply and ignoring the rest reply.
I've shopped there for years but today was stressful. Not much on the shelves. New fridges being fitted so none of the frozen items I wanted were available. Queues at the checkouts. I said hello to the girl at the checkout and was ignored. When I did get served I had bought 5 packs of Asda essential blueberries to be told I could only have 3 of the essential items. No signs were on the fresh food Isles to tell you this. My 10 pound Asda reward voucher on my phone App would not scan at the till to be told they were having problems with the system. So I had to pay full price after a long wait with the queue behind me building up. Will think twice before going again.
I visited asda at leechmere this morning at 4.35am as I do when starting nightshift and it's closed No signs up No one around to ask why its shut website says it open this is disgusting at least tell people or put up signs or on website your shut save them the journey fumming
The place is great when open, only thing is that it says it’s open and it’s not. I finish work at around 1am so it’s nice to grab a few bits and bobs so I don’t have to run around early in the morning. Come down tonight 2am Tuesday yet doors are tight shut. A sign at least saying closed would be nice but nothing, waste of petrol and time. No explanation of why they are closed either. I get I’m the pain being there at that time but self checkout exists for a reason.
