Amazing historic market in the heart of the Square Mile. Wonderful to wander the alleys and see what's there - from restaurants to pubs and more. Beautiful arches, simply stunning. Mostly open during the week, so double check which shops are open if you're visiting on the weekend. It can get quite busy at times with the city workers, so maybe consider elsewhere during lunch/after work hours.

Great looking place with lots of nice bars to get a pint in the evening. Whole market is covered, so even during London rains, you can enjoy browsing the shops or enjoy your beer. The only downside i have noticed is that the number of food shops seem to be going down. Which is a bummer as i used to frequent this place for office lunches. No longer are so many options available. Despite that, its a great place to visit if you want to take your friends for an evening, or if you are visiting London for a few days.

Lovely spot for breakfast, lunch or drinks after work. Plenty of cafes & restaurants to choose from (mainly Italian), with seating indoors & outdoors. I find it quite relaxing to come here for lunch to catch up with friends, as the area is away from the busy road.

A fabulous Victorian building constructed as a Poultry and Meat Market by Sir Horace Jones in 1881. Now a retail hub which also has great restaurants and pubs, especially The Lamb Tavern. It is, of course, also famous for Diagon Alley, so will appeal to Harry Potter fans! Built on the site of the Roman Basilica and Forum and a medieval mansion has many levels of history. Regular history tours on Wednesday 11am and 2pm. Check out City of London Guides website for details. An excellent destination for all the family, especially on rainy days!

I have always wanted to visit here as it looks beautiful on the TV. It didn't disappoint in real life. We only walked through and didn't go in any of the shops or restaurants. Crazily, this beautiful place is right next to the ultra modern Lloyds building.
