If you are a fan of Laurel Hardy this is the place to go... It is a museum dont forget with a lot of history of how the boys met and got together. I want to thank the young man with the Sons if the Desert Fez who was extremley knowledgeable about the boys in general and some of their co-stars whom I did'nt even know about. Thank you... Well worth the visit...
£7.50 for a adult to walk round the ground floor of a cinema was excessive to say the leastnTired and worn out and desperately in need of a modernisationnA personal collection of memorabilia from local mayor Bill CubinnYou will need to be truly a die hard fan to take yourself herenIt's a shame it could be something to be positive about but the only thing I can positively say about this place is that the attendant was friendly and welcoming
Really enjoyable visit. My brother and I watched L&H as kids and still watch it from time to time. Was fantastic to see the hat from the Sons of the Desert. The museum had been on the todo list for a while and it did not disappoint. Lovely building for a museum.
The history and iconic memorabilia from the lives and careers of two of the greatest comedic show creators and film performers of all time!nIn the heart of Stan Laurals home town Ulverston, well worth a visit!!
Could do with a really good revamp!. Alot of artifacts just left on the floor like letters from stan to his fans. Its a real shame to see this. Looks like it need someone with display expertise. Not very well lit and can't hardly read any info on pictures on the walls as some are hung to high to read...to me this is disappointing as there is a lot to see and read up on but you just couldn't.
