Visited for Sunday lunch with family. Food and service was excellent. We were made very welcome by the friendly staff. Every table was reserved so I would definitely book in advance at weekends. Recommend.Food: 4/5
Lovely, very hospitable pub next door to the Isfield Lavender Line station. Friendly atmosphere and welcoming staff. Was busy on a Sunday lunchtime. I had the homemade Steak and Kidney pie which was very tasty, the roasts looked good as well. A kids menu is available with good sized portions of food. My half of Long Man Bitter was in good form. Great pub and well worth a visit. Parking: Large car park with a overflow section Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly with a good kids menu of pub favourites Scampi etc
An impromptu decision to have lunch out led us to the Laughing Fish. Haven't been here since before the pandemic and I knew it had changed hands. It's split into two halves, a restaurant half which is pleasantly lightly decorated and a bar room style without much change. Good choice of beers with guest local ales. Food menu seemed initially a bit on the high side but when the food arrived we were pleasantly surprised by the portion sizes which were large and definitely worth the money. Also the food tasted great and my pie was stuffed full of meat. Proper pub grub. The staff were also very friendly and I'm looking forward to returning to this great little village pub. Highly recommended.
Our first visit since the change of ownership, and we were delighted to find it's as good as ever. It has fresh decor but the same welcoming atmosphere, and all the food was excellent cooked by the same chef as before, served by friendly people. We'll be back often! Vegetarian options: The vegetarian quiches were amazing!
Great little village pub, really good food, good portion sizes with a wide variety on the menu. Beer selection is good with some great local real ales. Getting in with a double buggy wasn't easy but it was possible. Steps up to both doors we used but didn't look for the wheelchair / buggy accessible options.
A late morning pint to reacquaint myself with an unusual and welcoming pub next to the Lavender Line. Well-kept beer Long Man and good attentive service. A large car park at the back.Service: 5/5
We stopped here today after arriving to do a walk with the kids and dog at the Anchor and realising it was closed due to flooding, decided to walk to the nearest pub instead. So glad we did! Such a lovely warm inviting place, they found us a table straight away despite it being busy and the food was exceptional. Jo who served us was a real gem too. We’ll be back!
My friend and I came across this lovely pub a couple of weeks ago with our shepherds after getting lost on a walk. Jodie and her team where absolutely lovely very welcoming. Great traditional pub with good ale and proper pies. Lovely food, great service, definitely recommend
