The Las Iguanas in Bristol is brilliant so we thought we'd try the one in Chester tonight. Unfortunately we won't be going back! After being shown to our seats we waited for someone to come and take our drinks order whilst we looked at the menu, but after 10 minutes nobody had even glanced in our direction let alone acknowledged us. They seemed to think that setting tables, in a restaurant that wasn't even a quarter full, was more important than taking orders. We got up and walked out. Now in a full TGI Fridays and the service is 100% better.

The food was good but what really lets the place down is the service. Our server was very friendly but made various mistakes (the same thing happened with other tables also). Other members of staff generally just ignored us & repeatedly left us with no cutlery etc because "we ran out". For a restaurant less than 25% full it was really just a bit of a shambles. Also I saw one of the servers use the customer toilets and leave without washing their hands, going straight to handling plates of food. I mean that's just not right.

Our favourite restaurant in Cheshire oaks. I'm Ocd about cleanliness and it is always well presented with attentive friendly staff. I usually avoid chains as from my excuses they're scabby within 12 months of opening. Always great food and experience, I would recommend to anybody

Excellent service but the food is bland with the new menu change. Would recommend for the 2 for 1 cocktails but otherwise go to nandos or chiquitos instead. Definitely just average.
