Having insured with Lancaster for some years I have always found their customer service and renewals team a pleasure to engage with. Excellent prices for my collection of classic cars, great benefits and knowledgeable staff. Yes the price may be £10-£20 more than some unknown broker on a price comparison website, but for the peace of mind that a reputable and established business have me covered, I've got no issue paying a little more! I look forward to renewing in a few months and getting the stag back on the road! Thanks Lancaster

Appalling service .... I live in a property which has neither a drive or garage due to the property’s age. My classic car is stored over winter in a garage some miles from my home. In the summer I park it on a neighbours drive or in the private car park opposite my house. These were all facts Lancaster knew when I took out my insurance and paid them. They then sent paperwork for me to check some weeks after the policy started which was wrong. I rang them and only then was told the car wasn’t insured if it wasn’t kept in its storage garage - the underwriter had told them 16 days before but they hadn’t bothered to tell me- they were “too busy”. They then went off to check if my neighbour’s fully secure drive was acceptable - a week later and a full month after I’d taken out the policy they cancelled it AND THEN tried to charge me admin and cancellation fees Basically if you can’t garage the car every night they won’t insure you ! But are happy to take your money and then mess you about Oh and they also demand all sorts of declarations and other documents such as copies of your driving licence etc - things no one has ever asked before Avoid !

Shocking customer service, was promised a callback 5 times, didn't happen. Took car insurance with them and they couldn't email the documents for me to fill out. Every time they sent the email they forgot to attach the documents, said I wanted to cancell the policy even though it wasn't due to start for 15 days and they wated 150 pounds to cover admin costs, just a scam company. Even if you call the claim number, no on answers.

Nightmare to deal with. Very very poor customer service. If you get through to them you would have wished you didn't. Quoted £4000 to change the policy to the same car with a difference engine. Insured with footman james for £290 fully comp. Tried to cancel my Policy and they are asking for £300 for this. That would mean I've paid £700 for of a total of a £900 policy for 140 days insurance. Will never ever return and join the other reviewers on here to say AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
