The cleaning staff was loud and unprofessional they did a half hearted job with our room saw our birthday decorations and did not wish us good one. Also highlighting lack of diversity in staff and those in attendance can make minorities feel intimidated. Part of the experience is the environment so it is very important. Beautiful setting. If you have a car. Staff are wonderful. Very friendly and professional. Pizzas are divine Room was good standard. However could of done with more storage in the bathroom. Plenty of hot water and clean towels. I would certainly recommend.
A very friendly welcome. We stayed in the coach houses with do small dogs. They were very clean and comfortable. The restaurant food was very nice but the takeaway pizza was fantastic. Location is ideal for exploring the coastline and is about a 15 minute drive to Tenby centre. The Hotel and the grounds are beautiful. A perfect stay for my 50th Birthday. Thanks very much
My girlfriend and I visited Lamphey Court the night before NYE relax before beginning the year! The drive to the location is pleasant and easy to find. We stayed in a Superior room I believe, this was situated in the main building, I very much enjoyed the decor of the hotel and the rooms, traditional and welcoming. The bed was very comfy and we heard no noise disturbance from other guests whilst inside. The Spa is modern and well kept, I don't think the pool is heated as it felt a little chillier than other Spa pools we've been to. However, it wasn't unpleasant, the jacuzzi and steam room were great as well and the changing rooms were well equipped bags for wet clothes provided too The gym was very spacious and split into two rooms, it has sufficient machinery for a workout and all in working order. We had evening meals and breakfast at the hotel. We enjoyed 3 courses, the soup starter was lovely and clearly made at the venue rather than bought in. We chose the Welsh Beef burgers for mains can't go wrong with a burger! and for dessert Chocolate Fudge cake and a Lemon Posset. Main and dessert pictured, the picture light has been edited for visibility but on the night the light in the conservatory was dimmed for a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere. Breakfast was fully cooked with additional continental Fruits, Yoghurt & Cereal if you wished, again it was very well prepared and tasted great. Finally, at every point the staff were very friendly and helpful including a lady named Sharon that I had a pleasant conversation with at breakfast whilst waiting for the toast to brown Definitely recommended.
This review is just for the spa. I’m sad to write a negative review however I have reached out to the spa manager but have not been able to get any where with my complaint. My cousin and I booked a treatment based on an instagram advert. The treatment we received was 25 minutes shorter than advertised. I mentioned this to the therapist and showed them the advert and she offered me entry into the pool area as compensation, I explained that I already had paid for entry into the pool area as part of a food package I’d also booked on the same day. I asked to speak to the manager who was not available and was told they would contact me. I chased up the complaint to be told again that I was offered entry into the pool as compensation for the shortened treatment, to again explain I’d already paid for entry into the pool that day. I was hoping for a reply and at least some empathy or acknowledgment of the incorrect advert or treatment but nothing. I find it very disappointing when businesses feel they can short change or rip off guests and not acknowledge any wrong doing. The pool area is also dirty black mould in the jacuzzi and generally untidy. It’s a shame that such a fantastic setting isn’t run with a high standard of customer service.
2 stars because there are no lifts and we had luggage im a pregnant woman and if there are lifts which I’m sure there went it was not pointed out to me soo… its a health and safety hazard to carry my luggage upstairs and be out of breath or fall. Other point is the lack of diversity form the staff to the people that attend I felt uncomfortable as a black woman and you can probably point out who it is. I’m sure others felt uncomfortable from me presence as it’s not diverse you can do better with staff and advertising for diversity. The rooms was nice and service all kind. Pool was great but again very uncomfortable. Overall 2 stars Safety: No stairs not great for pregnant people or disabled Noteworthy details: Not diverse very uncomfortable
We arrived very late at night, but the greating was still very warm and welcoming. The receptionist went out of his way to find things for us despite the late hour. The room was well prepared and 'just right' to relax. Breakfast had a good choice and helpful staff. The views are lovely over the countryside.Rooms: 5/5
Beautiful hotel. Lovely pool, at just the right temperature. Cool. Not like a tropical pond. Great food. Lovely grounds. All round nice experience. I had one of only 2 single rooms. With a single bed, and had a lovely sleep. Very clean, with an en suite bathroom. I would highly recommend this gorgeous hotel.Rooms: 5/5
We were given an overnight stay with dinner & breakfast by our favourite son as a gift. The room on arrival seemed fine & fairly clean. Places like the bath panel ledges had been missed for a wipe & towards the top end of the mirror which still had marks on it. Marks on nets, shower curtain & robes. There were some stains to the carpet too. There were some nice touches in the room like complimentary teas, coffee Inc pods if you like that sort of thing with hot chocolate & the biscuits were good. The bed was a good size & firm but even with the window open the room was rather warm & heating wasn't even on!. Got to hear kitchen staff arriving & if the bass of their music didn't wake you the clattering of pans did Dinner menu wasn't inspiring & q pricey. It was ok, there was enough on the plate. Breakfast was very good. Plenty of choice & tasty. I have worked in the hospitality industry at high end places & this hotel is lacking on the smaller details especially in public areas- light bulbs out on fittings, cobwebs decorating various places, drapes needing a good clean. Location is good as you're close to lots of attractions & tourist areas.
Beautiful hotel, the pool and spa complex was fantastic. Really enjoyed our evening meal and breakfast, compliments to the chef.. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Such a lovely treat for my 60th birthday.Rooms: 5/5
