It was not made clear to us at the time of booking that swimming pool times for children are 5.30 - 7 pm & also 8.30-10 am only. We arrived at 2 pm expecting that we could use the pool with our 9 year old grandson- but told we couldn't until 5.30 pm. This contradicts what Best Western have said on their site. We only booked this hotel because of the Spa facilities. We were told our room wouldn't be ready until 4 pm as it had been a busy weekend! So we went off site for a few hours. Our booking was made direct with Best Western. Spa members take priority over residents ! Not what we expected!

Great hotel in excellent location, stunning building and grounds. Friendly helpful staff and a beautiful comfortable room. Fitness centre was well equipped and a pleasure to use. Good quality breakfast with plenty of choice. Highly recommended.

My wife and I stayed at the Lamphey crt Hotel for three nights, the location, hotel and grounds are stunning. The hotel is very clean and the decor is of a high standard yet, comfortable. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, the dinning room staff were especially good even when busy at breakfast and dinner. The food is extremely good with portions that are satisfying but don't overwhelm you. The fitness centre is the real gem of the hotel, well managed, clean, tidy, lovely pool and spa pool, very good sauna and steam room and an extremely well equipped gym. overall our stay was really good, we used the fitness centre every day, ate in the dinning room every night and had a great mini break, it is somewhere we will definitely revisit Roger and Julia, 26th Feb 2018, Hereford England

A party of 13 had lunch today for Mothers day. Unfortunately, we were the last table to sit down and the beef appeared to have been cut and dried out under the lights, it was not edible. The service was well below basic service standards as some staff finished after the first shift and we waited ages for tables to be cleared. We had finished all our main meals before one person had received their and we even had to ask for bread rolls. I spoke to the General manger and he offered us a discount!

Its the little things that spoil your stay. There was just too many of them, particularly for a 4* hotel. Lack of staff at breakfast and in the bar, cold coffee, breakfast order not being processed properly, no teaspoons (2 days) with coffee at breakfast, broken equipment in the men's changing room at the spa, - its not what is to be expected. Having said that, the staff were all very friendly, the room was great. The hotel could just do better.
