The beers great but the bar was full of loud, sweary , uncouth, foul mouthed scratters all looking as if they are waiting to go on the Jeremy Kyle show. Not a very nice atmosphere at all. Felt like it was going to kick off anytime. Won't be going again, I like to drink my ale in more homely welcoming establishments
A unique own brand brewed craft bitter called Bathams, which is really palatable. Very pleasent staff and surroundings with two good outside seating facilities. Accommodation is available.

A great tradition pub, excellent ale. Great company, always interesting conversations. 5
This pub is owned by bathems brewery. Bathems has got only a few public houses that completely sells their own beers making them unique in the pub trade. Well worth a visit if you're in the area.
Social distancing measures were outstanding. Waitress service was brilliant. Beer was top draw.
Real ale is excellent. Wine is pants.
Don't expect to go to work on a Monday if you visit The Lamp on a Sunday
