Great home cooked food. The Steak & Ale pie is mouth watering, chunky pieces of steak and you can really taste the ale. With a proper pastry, not just a puff one resting on top. Excellent selection of real ales, which are changed regularly. And the waitress that served us blondish hair was excellent and attentive. Definitely worth a visit and book a taxi
Absolutely brilliant, great food, great choice, great prices, traditional real ales and plenty of choice and a generally a great pub/restaurant. A gastro pub with very reasonable prices. Service is friendly and efficient and everyone is very welcoming. We've already booked to go twice.

Superb food, freshly cooked each time we have been. We create our own tapas style lunch and have never been disappointed. Great value for money. Thankfully we have found a local pub within walking distance of home. We will be visiting on a weekly basis but I think the food is only available Thursday through to Saturday.
Great selection of ales, plenty of seating inside and out. Visited there for the first time 20 years ago, and today was my second visit, it was just as good!
Compliments to the chef, waiters and team at the fountain. Booked on a busy Saturday evening for 6 people. Food was delicious and piping hot, service was excellent despite being rammed. Can't recommend enough. Had a great night.
Fabulous food, been a few times and never disappointed. Best to book because it gets very busy. Prices are excellent and quality of the food is superb.
Once again, and as always, a wonderful experience in every way. This is a glorious place to visit at any time of year, but I can't imagine a more festively cheery, welcoming place than this at Christmas... The usual high standard of food and ale and the usual outstanding and friendly service.
Had a lovely meal. Main and pudding, food was amazing, good quality, plenty of food for price and very tasty and lovely staff.
Gorgeous good and great choice of drinks.. well definitely go again
