Good place to watch the New Year fireworks for free. The messages enacted by drones in the sky look like mirror images since this location is behind-the-stage as compared to the paid zones around the London Eye. Reach 3-4 hours early to catch a spot on the west end and north wall of the bridge to get the best view of the fireworks. Standing more inside on the bridge will block visibility of lower of half the London Eye due to people standing in front of you. Waterloo, Lambeth North, and Elephant Castle stations on the Bakerloo line of tube trains are 15-20 minutes walking distance.
This is a free place to see the New Years Eve Fireworks. You will only get a side view of the show, however.
Very good location, good walking place, Thames cruises for boat rides, parties, available, their is also a Riverside cafe. Uber boat rides, lots of public transportation, good place for day out, good architectural building construction. View of Parliament House.
I watched the fireworks on 31/12/2023 from there and it was a good spot.
Visited Client in central london for work. Instead of taking bus I preferred to walk from train station to client place. It was a nice twenty minutes walk. It was much better than going in bus.
amazing bridge to enjoy London eye new year fireworks
Nice bridge, good views.
One of the many bridges near Westminster for pedestrians and traffic to cross the River Thames. There's nothing especially noteworthy about the bridge that would make you want to go out of the way to see it. The bridge does have an eye catching colour scheme. Parts of the bridge is conspicuously painted in a red/pink scheme. Supposedly because it's the same colour as the leather benches in the House of Lords. The bridge is fairly clean and as it's further from the Houses of Parliament, there's a lot less tourists and lets you enjoy the views of the Houses of Parliament, the London Eye and the River Thames without fear of getting trampled by the horde of visitors.
Offer a beautiful view on the London Eye, the Big Ben, the new skyscraper area in west London and the Tamis with all the bridges. It also a free and beautiful place to see the NYE fireworks of London Eye. You can see the shard also. !!!ViDEOS may be LOUD!!!
Very nice view from the other 2 bridges. I enjoy the walk on both side of the roads.
