We've been ordering from Lal Qila for about 6 weeks. The banquet for 2...tasty, fresh & decent portions. The meat thali, again another great meal. However, best meal last night. Usual poppadoms & the pickle tray. Starter, tandoori platter for 2....have these every week. We've had a variety of mains, last night we had the Lamb Kerala & Chicken Tikka Pathia. We haven't had a bad meal last nights is definitely our favourite
Ordered twice from here. First order was the set banquet for 2 Second was the meat thali & a lamb chilli masala. Fresh & tasty. Plenty of food. Would highly recommend.Food: 5/5

Poor service and a long wait for food. We ordered delivery for 6:30, we were told it wouldn't arrive until 6:55 and then after a few calls and texts to chase it eventually arrived, cold, at 7:15- not impressed. the food was ok although we were disappointed to find a bone in the 'boneless' Murgh Masala. Portions were generous. I wouldn't order from here again, there are better Indian options in the area

I will start with if i could vote no stars i would !!!! Booked a table for 12 ppl. Unfortunately only 10 of the group could make the booking. So the staff decided to move 10 of us onto a table of 8 leaving 2 of our party standing around the table for over 15minutes, to then tell us that they are waiting for another table to become free to sit our other 2 people. Making the customers at this table become uncomfortable as they were only half way through their meal. After a discussion on why we had been moved the staff then decided to move us back to the original table being abrupt & slamming tables together. Not very organised at all. You feel like you are putting the staff out by ordering a drink. Waited ages for warm not hot food, with hairs in. Missed naan bread & chips from the order. Didn't bother to complain as they had already ruined our night, just will never be visiting this place ever again. As this is the only Indian restaurant in Maghull you may be tempted to go as its convenient. If you are hungry want nice food & most of all a good service I would highly recommend to try a different Indian elsewhere.
Great choice of food plus chef specials, had kerala prawn curry delishbig bottles of cobra to wash it down all in all tip top Food: 4/5
