Lovely downstairs, however upstairs in the 'function' room etc, that needs some serious attention. However, good food, great staff and great beer. Sorry I marked it down a star because of upstairs.

Oh my days! I am one of this pubs biggest fans ..... until tonight! Antsy bar staff gave me the wrong wine then replaced it with a smaller size & was rude and curt. Such a shame as I usually love this pub

Former Boddingtons house, now in the ownership of Greene King. Very large open interior with bar to the centre. Off both sides of the bar are spacious seating areas. A separate room and bar at the back of the building houses a more spartan vault-cum-sports room. Food plays a large part here, with a menu that features items sure to please most tastes. Great range of cask ales (six) that include beers from outsid Greene King range. Recommended.

Great pub. Loads of space and a nice friendly atmosphere. Quiz on Thursday is epic!
