I rented the canal boat for my birthday this year and we had the most fabulous afternoon. The price is very reasonable for 3 hours and the vibe is super chill. We were allowed to bring our picnic on board and the skippers were lovely. Everyone was delighted! Thank you so much. xxx
Cute typically little boat club ran by lovely friendly people. Enjoyed our team day out paddleboarding on the canal and happy to go again to rent or have a lesson of kayak/canoe. Was quite easy to find and has facilities for shower and toilet.
I had a fantastic experience with the bait club ! Myself and 11 other friends had an amazing trip on the narrow boats for my 21st birthday. We took the 3 hour trip to Victoria Park and back which was so lovely! Our skipper was fantastic and made sure we had such a great time. Really good value for money and a big thank you to our lovely skipper ! Would very much recommend and we hope to come back again !!
Wow what can I say, what an amazing little gem in the heart of london, my son loved every second of his time here an will definitely be returning. We attended a Saturday session an the pricing was affordable for all which was shocking considering it's in the middle of london an most places rip you off. The staff were great!!! whilst there I witnessed a very patient member of staff dealing with a child with ASD who was hitting out, she dealt with situation with patience an resilience an care. Honestly she was amazing an definitely deserves a pay rise IMO. The facilities and equipment were well kept an maintained, an every single child there looked happy an engaged. 10/10 for all the guys at this amazing little central london boat club.
Lovely friendly staff, feels like a gem in the middle of the city with lots of activities including wall climbing and canoeing, water slide. The only criticism is that some equipment has been left unattended so is old and the place would benefit from some litter collection.
This is a special little place that's on Regents canal. The staff are friendly and welcoming. This place is a little gem. They don't only cater for children, but have special groups for adults too. A great club which is inclusive to all.
I've just spent the week there doing a paddle sport coaching course and found the place to be a real gem. If you want to learn how to coach, particularly young people, these guys have a wealth of experience. You'll learn not just from the actual course material but also from the way the place runs and how they interact with the young people. It was great to be part of the Laburnum family for a week.
Instructors' reassurance made every child feel safe to attempt each activity The Instructors were trained to enable ALL children to participate.
Really good value boat hire and community organisation
Over the last 15 years Laburnum Boat Club has been a regular destination for all 4 of my children. They have all learnt to canoe here and spent numerous summer days splashing around on the canal sometimes in it. It's relaxed and friendly and the staff are welcoming to everyone. The school holiday programs provide all day fun with a mixture of trips and a variety of water play. Thus is one place they have never tired of returning to.... There are also adult and family sessions plus narrow boat trips. If you have kids in Hackney this is one place you really should be visiting..... All my kids are now confident canoeists having completed capsize tests...and have gone on to experience sea kayaking and rowing. A proper hidden gem....
