The most amazing Italian restaurant in Bournemouth.  Home style cooking, fast service, great atmosphere. We dine here almost every week!!! Just love it - fantastico

Friendly people, reasonably priced food and an excellent pizza

Although food was good, the service wasn't. The restaurant felt empty and cold, we weren't told on arrival that there was no veal, hot food was served on cold plates, and when other customers sent theirs back, their food, including the salad, was microwaved. One set of customers got up and left without paying. Only recently changed hands again - not going back again! Used to be such a great place.

Ate here for my daughter's 21st on a Saturday lunchtime. Fantastic food with great friendly service. Everybody enjoyed their meal, which included Calamari, pizza, tagliatelle and caneloni. Desserts were lemon sorbet and tiramisu to share. Very reasonably priced and highly recommended.

Amazing service, recommended a red wine to enjoy with our main and it was both great value and very tasty. Food was excellent and great portion sizes. Anyone looking for an authentic Italian at a great price look no further.

Extremely good have not been there for many years. Lovely food really enjoyed it great funny waiter very helpful with dietary for my partner, would recommend it to people who live in the Bournemouth area.

To me pizza is something that is very close to my heart. The amount of good memories I've had happened while having pizza with people. Often when I think of Pizza the emotions that come to mind are joy, hope, excitement , happiness. Yet last night when I sat there eating my pizza from La Stalla all I could feel was a blend of rage and sadness as well as the strong feeling that I had been deceived. I had paid 26 pounds for two vegetarian pizzas and an order of cheese garlic bread. I called up the place beforehand to inquire the amount of garlic bread pieces I would receive as well as the size of the pizza. Once I had received my takeaway and got home I opened the box and to my horror I only found two pieces of cheese garlic bread, the garlic bread looked quite sad and dry and resembled a toastie rather than a proper piece of Italian garlic bread. I then proceeded to open the pizza boxes and I had realised that I have been deceived, the pizzas that sat infront of me , they were not 12 inches. I grabbed my measuring tape and measured it as I knew this was not right . As I measuring I was hoping that I just looked at it wrong and that it was 12 inches , however my optimism was misplaced, the Pizza was in fact 8.5 inches on both pizzas. I decided to slice up the pizza and try to make the best out of a bad situation but the pizza sadly was nothing short of incredibly average. The pizza tasted the same as a frozen pizza, with a tasteless cardboard esque base, bland tomato sauce and cheese that very much felt like low quality heavily processed mozzarella. Overall , this was incredibly overpriced and truly just a miserable experience that I will not be returning to.

Friendly and attentive staff, who were very welcoming. Good food that's nicely presented. Large generous portions. Enjoyed my lunch there.

Really disappointed after visiting this restaurant.  My husband and Uncle order the mussels in white wine started and myself with my Aunt order prawn cocktail starters.  There were mussels served which were unopened from cooking and unsure what the sauce was but was not a white wine sauce.  The prawn cocktails had shrimps which were tasteless and dry and again it was not a seafood sauce.  3 of the 4 mains, lasagne, margherita pizza and chiken salad dish were all OK but the salmon dish was overcooked and was sent back only to receive a replacement which was undercooked.  Did not cause a fuss and just returned the meal although we were charged for it after the first reciept given was for a different table.  Was very disappointed with such simple dishes
