The judges awarded La Piazza the gold award, making it one of only five in the country to carry this accolade. The restaurant was singled out for its friendly atmosphere and quality of cooking, which the panel felt was rooted at the heart of authentic Italian cuisine. The restaurant’s head chef and co-owner, Giuseppe Ferraro, concentrates on combining traditional recipes with modern-style dishes, and all the ingredients that he uses are selected by him and his experienced team.
