It’s very well reviewed but to me, it was a disappointment. The polenta had no flavour and too much oil, for example. Some ingredients didn’t seem fresh.
I’ve been to this restaurant many times during the summer and loved sitting in the garden but tonight I went while the garden was closed for the winter and I have to say that I was really disappointed. The food was lovely as always but the ambience was lacking. We were sat downstairs, despite the fact that there were plenty of tables upstairs, and for 30 mins we were the only people on the floor. We could hear the chefs shouting in the kitchen and there was no music playing. When I asked whether we could be moved upstairs or the music could be turned on, the waiter ignored my request. Finally one other table was sat downstairs immediately next to us but it was so awkward being able to hear their conversation that it has made me think again about eating here!
What an amazing restaurant to stumble upon while visiting Primerose Hill. Deliciously memorable food, impeccable service and a superb vibe. Will definitely be visiting on our next trip to London.
Excellent! Service was excellent, food was superb! Beautiful ambiance. We all ordered the ragu. Delicious! A gem of a restaurant! Thank you for having us!!
What a lovely place with lovely staff! Everything is nice, clean delicious and the place itself has such a good relaxing atmosphere. Highly recommended.
Delicious food. Great service. Nice atmosphere. Little hidden gem in the quiet part of Primrose Hill.Food: 5/5
A wonderful dinner. We were a party of 5. Patrick was the perfect host/chef/front of house/waiter. Ran himself ragged and could probably do with one more helper in this intimate jewel of a restaurant near Regent's Park. But what matters is the food. Wow. I will never forget the branzino sea bass baked in salt. Patrick carefully removed around half a kilo of salt crystals forming an outer case for the fish, then filleted and served it in front of us. Gorgeous, succulent and fresh. The pasta starter of orecchiette in light mushroom sauce was also delicious. Variety of Italian desserts. Wasn't blown away by the tiramisu which was a bit dry and uneventful....but the chocolate tart with orange cream and the apple strudel with peanut butter ice-cream were better.
Very nice and helpful stuff, tasty food and wine for reasonable price. And I founded the flower's petals falling down onto my table lovely indeed Grazie!
We had a really pleasant evening. We sat in the outdoor courtyard during one of the warm nights in August. I can highly recommend the tagliatelle with half lobster was excellent.
Lovely setting Wonderful atmosphere Reasonably priced wine list Flavoursome food Pappardelle funghi outstanding such a nice evening. We shall revisit very soon Thank you to the attentive yet unintrusive staff.
