Food, service, and everything here is absolutely delicious. I forget to take a photo of our meals because we ate it all, but trust me IT'S SUPER DELICIOUS.
It looks very basic from the outside during the day but don’t let that put you off if you want an evening meal because we went Saturday night and it had a lovely rustic atmosphere. The food was fantastic and the owners were so nice but not overpowering. We took our own drinks because they aren’t licensed for the evening but that was no problem. Can’t wait to go back when I am next in Lincoln. I reckon it must be a great place to grab lunch too! Vegetarian options: The menu was about 50/50 veggie/non veggie and the veggie options were lovely and you can add chicken or pancetta if you wish. All the food was so fresh and delicious. The mozzarella starter was beautifully presented - will have that next time.
What an absolute gem of a restaurant. After struggling to book a last minute meal for 2 on a Saturday night we managed to book here for 7.30pm and although the place is small, the food, the staff and the atmosphere were all amazing. The fact you can take your own bottle and just pay corkage is a bonus. I highly recommend you give this restaurant a try.
What a great restaurant, small but cosy with a great ambience.. The food was fantastic, I had a seafood spaghetti dish as a main and my partner had a Gnocchi with goats cheese.. We also had 3 starters, and 4 alcoholic drinks, altogether £70.. Fantastic value in my opinion. Good clean place and the staff are super friendly and very helpful.
3.5. Certainly nowhere near 4.8!! Needs to be refurbished. Pasta was slightly overcooked. Taste was just okay. Not much better than we could do at home. £5 to open a bottle of wine seems excessive. Good service.
Really like this place for a meal out on an evening with friends. Bring your own drinks of choice and relax. Not many tables, good food, excellent service. Why 4 stars... because of the smallish menu choice. I actually prefer this because it stops me umming and arring. Otherwise top marks all round! Don't go everyone cos that means we've more chance of getting in when we want.
Came to celebrate my mums birthday - found this little place simply on reviews and it was well worth the trip from Northampton. The food was incredible - authentic and as the lasagna said made with love! The service was second to non - especially with two rather excited children- nothing was too much trouble - made to feel welcome - lovely warm atmosphere, also to add in the coffee was lovely too! My parents will be sure to return and we will when we next visit Lincoln! Kid-friendliness: I took my 3 yr old and 7yr old they made the main dishes to suit them so they had more choice - the I cream went down a treat and we were made to feel so welcome especially when my yr old spilt her milk - EVERYWHERE! It was dealt with, with a smile.
Excellent food, excellent service, nice low-key ambience.....it really is a hidden gem.
1st visit here and we will be back. Great food and friendly staff can't believe we haven't been before. Cu soonFood: 5/5
The Food is excellent you can taste the individual flavours in the meals, I am not a pudding person but could not resist the pear and ricotta cheese cake with a double espresso.
