Top place. I'm not sure if this was my first visit as I'm usually found 2 or 3 doors down but that place wasn't open on Boxing Day. Staff and service were excellent in spite of a rush immediately after the group I was with ordered. Coffee and pastries were excellent and it was topped off by customers on the next table with a beautifully behaved and friendly cockerpoo. Richmond is a good place if you're human or canine.
Fresh muffins and seriously amazing no kidding I don't think any other place would bake their own muffins on their premises like L'Amandine. This is the best coffee shop in Richmond, and one of the oldest. Over years never failed to give us best quality food and drinks with a big smile on the face, probably best English breakfast. I come here every day for my coffee and freshly baked croissant for years and will always come. Very welcoming service.
For the price, I don't expect to have eyes rolled at me every time I want food. None of the staff want to make food so why put it on the menu? Many times they've just told me they're not serving food anymore, when it's too early for this excuse they use attitude instead. The kicker, great food and a convenient location so I can't give less than 3*. Seriously though, why advertise food if you just want to serve coffee and pastries?
Had frequently cycled past on our way to Richmond Park, it's too soon for a coffee stop, until today. We'd cycled around 30 miles up & down the hills of Richmond Park, on our way to completing the Festive 500, and needed a break. Could do with some bike parking nearby, but the coffees and cakes were much appreciated on a cool Boxing Day lunchtime.
Staff is very helpful caring and going over a mile helping my parents who don’t speak any English translating on google translate. We also like to thank the staff for returning my father’s sunglasses who he left behind on Thursday. The glasses were a birthday present and meant a lot to him. Thank you very much Magda, Isuru, Greeta for your hard work and making my parents very welcome. They are very grateful. You all are credit to your company. May god bless you all
Pleasant, low key atmosphere and very polite staff. Two big pluses, they open at six AM, which is earlier than most cafes around here and they serve illy coffee. This is a great place to sit and read and drink coffee. There are also a couple of tables outside under an awning on a street without too much traffic.
Fantastic morning coffe and cake...Very polite and friendly staff.See U 2morrow 7 am again
Great coffee and friendly team. Nice place for families with small kids
I'm sure an isolated experience but we waited for 20 minutes yesterday on New Year's Day just to pay for two bottles of drinks. There were only two members of staff but this just wasn't good enough. People were walking in and leaving as they could see how slow the service was. Perhaps they need a better system with one member of staff taking orders and payment and another preparing the food and drink if there are only two people working. The smoothies were good which adds an extra star to my 1* review however they aren't freshly made on site!
Should have an unhappy hour; And serve whisky sour , lol . Used to open 6- 6,30 am, now 7 am if u r lucky. COVID FRIENDLY RULES NEED REVIEWING ! Probably one of the WORST English breakfasts / tea around, It's USP !!! Enjoy outside tables in a village atmosphere ! The review about enjoying their tasty tarts Richard Austin is a giggle ! 1, near to home 2, opens early 6 - 6.30 not anymore. 3, FREE WI-FI security level not known. 4, see local celebs wander past 5, Times newspaper, Daily Mail . 6, banter with the locals, 7, special mention to ever busy ISURU from Sri Lanka for her marvellous coffee, ever smiling . 8, when showing one how to make tea properly was told " do u think I've got time for making tea " that shut me up ! C/O Nagda, . thus far, room for improvement on P's and Q's,, to be continued,,, Shouted at for getting a tea from next door, Amazing thing is they know I do lots of reviews for Google Maps ,, Particularly like the Josh Toumany review about the moody faces + Tino Parrillo ref, to Fawlty Towers and nightclub bouncer,,, Miserable decor, doesn't know if it's 50's or pretend Deco,,, Windows at back need a clean !
