My wife purchased a pair of boots costing well over £100 in this store. When she got them home she noticed some flaws in the leather and so took them back. They didn’t have another pair the same and so she settled for ones costing £50 less. Kurt Geiger refused her a refund of the balance in cash, insisting that it was their company policy to pay all refunds by gift voucher. I had to phone them and remind them of their legal obligations under the Consumer Rights Act when they immediately agreed to a cash refund. Neither then nor when my wife went into exchange the voucher for cash did they apologise. A shop which clearly tries to ride roughshod over consumer protection legislation and there best avoided.
