Loved the food at this place. Tasted authentic and if you like Ramen then this is the place for you. I had the prawn tempura don buri and the prawns were delicious. The rice fluffy and the miso soup accompaniment was possibly the best miso soup I’ve ever had. Full of flavour and complexity. Service was polite and efficient. Atmosphere is nice and has a good vibe. It gets busy so would advise you book and if you like sake then try the taster thing. Parking: No parking available that I’m aware of
Popped by for lunch as a one-off. The menu was wide ranging. We managed to get a table for 2pm despite making a booking for 2.30pm. There were 4 of us and I ordered the Oyakdon. The food was served in less than 10 mins. The food was delicious and the service was good. I would recommend.
We went there as a group yesterday. We reserved a table but sadly it wasnt free when we came around. After a short wait which was totally fine we got out table and the rest of the evening was amazing. The tempura is incredible good and also the udon were on point. Donburi with gyudon were amazingly spiced and the meat was so tender! All in all foodwise incredible. Staff was super polite. The only idea I want to spread is be a bit more around all tables. We sat in a corner and sometimes I had the feeling waiters didnt come there too often. Nothing serious just a friendly remark.
Koya City at Bloomberg Arcade, located on Canon Street, is a noodle bar that offers a delightful Japanese dining experience. The restaurant combines minimalist design with charming Japanese-style decoration, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. One of the highlights of Koya City is their exceptional udon noodle dishes. We had the pleasure of trying their Nabeyaki Udon, which was a true delight. The udon noodles were perfectly cooked, with a soft and chewy texture that paired beautifully with the flavorful broth. The dish featured succulent pieces of lamb and a hint of aromatic cumin miso, adding a unique twist to the traditional flavors. In addition to the Nabeyaki Udon, we also tried the White Fish Udon Sakana Udon, which showcased the freshness of the fish. The delicate flavors of the fish combined harmoniously with the udon noodles, creating a light and satisfying dish. To complement our meal, we enjoyed a selection of sake and ginger beer. The sake enhanced the flavors of the udon noodles, while the ginger beer provided a refreshing and zesty accompaniment. It seems that the ice cream at Koya City has an interesting name, "Happy Ending," which adds a touch of irony to the dessert. This playful and clever choice of name further enhances the dining experience at the restaurant. Despite its name, the ice cream itself was still a delightful and satisfying treat, adding a sweet note to the end of our meal. Overall, Koya City at Bloomberg Arcade offers a memorable dining experience with its outstanding udon noodle dishes, charming ambiance, and excellent drink pairings. Whether you're a fan of traditional Japanese cuisine or looking to explore new flavors, Koya City is a must-visit destination in London. Nick #doctorfoodielondon
The queues will never stop me! I love this place! Fantastic menu, just so delicious. One of the only places you can find natto in a restaurant in London. Everything I’ve tried from the seasonal specials board has been great as well. Both alcohol and soft drink options are great. Reasonably priced for tasty, unique, authentic dishes. Cannot recommend this place enough.
This was one of the best places I've ever eaten at in London and definitely the best noodles I have ever eaten. Fresh, tasty and unique flavors in an authentic setting. They have seasonal specials as well which adds even more unique items to their menu. I recommend any Atsu-Atsu and keep an eye out for their desserts. Be sure to make a reservation as it's not a big place and it was full even on a Monday
The weather was freezing when we were hungry and looking for food in London. We walked by Koya. Japanese ramen sounds perfect to me and my friends. The best was no waiting for the table. Koya has good Japanese food, which is perfect for us. We enjoyed the meals and the service. Wheelchair accessibility: Koya City is a wheelchair friendly
Multicultural food fusion that brings you straight to the comfort of home Japanese + Filipino. Their bespoke chilli oil is to die for. Flavours of the food are exquisite that I can still taste them even after dining! A must try to food explorers like me!Food: 5/5
Simple ingredients make a delicious broth. The dish could've had a larger umami kick. Still, perfect decent comfort food for a cold and rainy day. The service was also fast for a packed house.Food: 5/5
About 6 years ago when it opened, I found it was more tasty back then than now, the price has increased too. The place was always a nice vibe but I have to say £70 for 2 People on some udon and side dishes with a pint of beer was more than any udon place in London. When I think about udon I think about how fast and efficient the meal is but yeah it was quite pricey and the taste was OK. I would go back probably once in a while.
