I’ve been to Konkan a good few times and I think it’s one of the tastiest Indian restaurants in Dublin. I wish Google did half-star ratings because I reckon that Konkan is in between 4 and 5 . Anyways… delicious food! If you’re into Indian cuisine, definitely give this place a try. Lovely staff and it’s fairly close to the city centre as well. They have significantly upped their prices recently though, but I suppose many places have.
I have not been to Konkan in a long time. Maybe 6 or 7 years, maybe more. I remember it being ok but that's about it. I have seen the ranking and reviews which I found odd considering all the great indian restaurants in Dublin. My expectations were not high going to this place. Fast forward to the end of the meal. All I can say is the hype is well founded. The meal was stunning, the staff were great and the atmosphere is good. They were missing some items on the menu which I prefer I.e meat platter for 2. I was shocked it wasn't there but went with their veg platter for 1. Its was lovely. The place is small but we'll worth a trip. I don't use these word too often but considering the location, it is a hidden gem. Overall experience was great and I am looking forward to going back.
Quiet and cozy ambience. Food was great, we ordered jackfruit sukka, chicken tikka, plain naan, coriander naan and paneer butter masala. Not that many restaurants have this much of vegetarian food. We HAVE to order a minimum of €20 per person and you gotta reserve a table, the way this information delivery by the manager was a bit harsh though. Could be more customer friendly.
Brilliant food. Niche menu. Authentic Indian setting. Konkani Fish Tikki is a must try. They also serve Cobra Indian Beer. Nice place for a casual date.
One of the best Indian restaurants in Dublin. I am myself from India, so trust me when I say that the food here is very authentic. The restaurant is on clanbrassil street, very close to Harold's Cross, portobello and the city in general. The food is amazing. One of the best places I have had Indian cuisine in ireland. The ambience is really nice too and the staff were very friendly. I will definitely recommend this place.
Place is amazingly decorated, food is so delicious and the staff was very friendly and helpful! Super recommended!!
Very tasty Indian restaurant. Would highly recommend :
Great food and service. Went for dinner with my partner, food was lovely portions were decent and I took some for lunch the next day. Containers they provided were compostable. Always happy to see places trying to do their bit for the environment too. Young gentleman was serving us and he was pleasant and attentive. Would go again
The food & staff at Konkan are wonderful, with a great affordable selection of wines, as well as authentic dishes. The tables and establishment are small and well decorated, which lends to a comfortable and casual atmosphere. There’s one glaring problem here: you’re unable to tip staff without cash. Carrying cash is increasingly rare, and no customer <-> wait staff dynamic should be ruined by this taxation nuance. What is a quaint and wonderful little restaurant is inevitably spoiled by the surprise that you cannot tip the wait staff, unless you’re carrying cash. Therefore, the burden on this is placed onto the customers rather than the establishment, leaving wait staff out of pocket. It’s a real shame, and something that shouldn’t be seen in 2022. I would rather the food cost 10% more, and I could tip the staff. They are half the experience, after all.
Best Indian cuisine in Dublin, hands down. We've been here multiple times and have truly enjoyed the food so much. Not a lot of tables and seating, so a pretty cozy atmosphere. Make sure to get a reservation!
