The food tastes fine, The mutton in the biryani tasted frozen, even the tandoori leg piece was not properly roasted and lacked flavors. Chole Poori halwa was good, but service is quite slow, they took like almost 50 minutes to get our food.
Had the lamb vindaloo, vegetable curry, mixed barbecue and puri bread. This is an excellent place to enjoy real curry. The price is very reasonable, the staff are very friendly and most importantly the food is really excellent. It's the best Indian food I've ever had outside India and I've eaten in plenty of Indian restaurants that are charging more than twice what it costs to eat here. I will keep coming back to this place!
Unassuming wonderland of flavor: It didn't look the much from the street, but the moment we stepped inside and smelled the simmering spices and incense we knew this wasn't your average curry shop. The atmosphere, and service was very nice. But the food was amazing. We got a biryani rice to share, garlic naan and chile naan, butter chicken, and chicken curry. The texture of the butter chicken was so tender and fresh it felt like lobster falling apart in my mouth. Everything was delicious flavorful and generously piled high. Way more than we needed. And inexpensive. Highly recommended.
So far the best BBQ I had in Dublin. I've talked with three taxi drivers, all of them promised me that they only decent and authentic curry in the city Desi means traditional is on Mary Street. I didn’t really believe them because If I had a penny for every person who’d told me about a good curry in Dublin I’d have enough money to fly to Mumbai for the real thing. But actually, they were more than right! Lovers of spices and meat, here is the place for you.
Great place! the staff is really polite and friendly. If you're missing india, do try the food here, the meals are really pocket friendly and surprisingly the dishes are spicy so 10/10 xD I'd recommend
Worst dining experience in Dublin. Went for a dine in on 31-Dec for a memorable end to 2017 but ended up as a nightmare. Ordered Idly, Dosa and veg thali and we felt that the sambar and the potato inside masala dosa was not fresh. After eating we had stomach upset and spoke to the staff there. They mentioned sambar and currys may be 1 or 2 days old and they dont prepare fresh every time. Was shocked to listen to that. Curd used for samosa chat was not good. We had ordered chicken biryani for take away thought atleast that would turn out good. To our bad luck even that was bad.. chicken pieces were rubbery to chew. No taste for biryani and curry was over spicey. We threw it away. My wife then called the restaurant to express our concerns then they mentioned only we are complaining and people have been eating biryani from morning without any complaints. We then got their owner's number and expressed our complaints. All in all a below average restaurant and wouldn't recommend it to anybody.
Decent Indian-Pakistani cuisine.Ordred a mutter chicken meal- quantity optimal, well cooked chicken, the rice seemed a bit stale one point to improve on . Dish arrived steamy and tasted delicious. Far better than other Indian restaurants around. Amicable hosts :
Great place to get some indian food. A little bit on the pricey side but well worth it. Large portion sizes.
Proper authentic desi food at reasonable rates. Had to wait longer after ordering, but that compromise is worth once you eat the food. Aalo chat - a must try!
Tasty, flavorful desi food. Both rice and grills are good.
