I was pleasantly surprised we had jacket potatoes with tuna and a 3 bean chili. Both piping hot and came with a side salad. The staff was friendly and helpful and quick service to us. It was busy. We sat inside which tables were clean i heard someone moan about the prices. Get a life your in prime position right on the beach. Expect to pay a little more. Me i thought it was worth it.
Love this cafe. Used it for years may be as many as 30yrs as I used to bring my kids here and now it's grand children. I like it as it has a simple selection of food and their stews are fab ...see picture. Service is quick and out of session they have plenty of seating. In the summer it gets very busy but not horrendously busy and there is plenty of parking too. The containers by the way are made from veggie stuff not mineral based plastic.
Were lucky to visit Studland today. We rocked up in our camper van knowing the National trust car park was nearby. Perfectly easy to parkup with a LWB vehicle. The cafe was a nice starting point. Food and coffee was great, staff were polite and still accommodating with non contact which is great to see. We had touna and cheese panini melt and our daughter had a sausage roll which was reasonably priced. We sat and enjoyed the landscape outside which was nice with high seating and wind screens. Most definatly recommend to friends and family when visiting Studland to enjoy the experience.
Stopped for coffee during walking a section of the coastal path. It was a hot, sunny day but we sat outside under one of the umbrellas. There are toilets and a car park available. The café is right beside the beach and someone had been busy recreating the pyramids!
Water sports, sand, dogs on lead, coffee shop and small takeaway area. Toliets and parking in a beautiful part of the coast. I enjoy walking from the chain ferry down to Knoll, it's a fantastic walk. The kids love a go on a pedalo before walking back.
So sad to make a bad review of anywhere National Trust, which generally I love. On a cold day and after a long walk, we bought drinks just before closing time. An officious manager refused to let us finish our drinks in the cafe. He gave us 10 minutes which was unreasonable given the drinks were hot. He became nasty, telling us we were breaking licensing laws, and egged on by a particularly loud and opinionated member of staff. At no point had it been made clear that we wouldn't be able to consume what we'd bought in the cafe, although I know other NT cafes give you 30 mins to finish. I was really upset by his high-handed manner. I had to leave nearly all my drink which was too hot to drink any quicker.
Been coming to Studland for decades since early childhood, a very special place, still one of my favorite places to spend a day. This clean, modern cafe is the place to get your decent coffee, ice cream or perhaps pasty, and take a seat outside to enjoy the relaxed beachside vibe. Best on a sunny day!Food: 4/5
We visited in half term, ordered two scones and they suggested I change to two cream teas. Prices weren't obvious. The two guys working the drinks seemed to mix up the order of customers so I had to wait, then they put the drinks in takeaway cups even though we were eating inside. They then switched to China cups and the cup I was given was dirty, finally I asked for milk for the tea and was directed to an empty jug on the counter...scones were tasty but disappointing service, pricing and drinks I'm afraid. It wasn't very busy either.
The fish and chips were quite expensive for a takeaway option, but it’s a good spot in front of the beach. There were some gluten-free options sadly not the fish and chips including jacket potatoes, a chicken sandwich, and wrapped gluten-free cakes/flapjacks. It would be great also to have the gluten-free scones offered in the Corfe Castle National Trust Team Rooms!
The scones were stale, the sausage roll was cheap and nasty and clearly microwaved. They had no cakes left at 2pm and it wasn't clean with bins overflowing. On the upside the tea was good and the view was stunning. Shame the staff were so overwhelmed.
