Been wanting to go here for ages as loved the look of the menu. Had the steak baguette, which took the regular steak baguettes to another level... Best I've had!! Coffee was awesome too. Definitely going back and might just take the kids as the kids menu and the fresh baked goods means that there is something for everyone. Highly recommend this place.

Casual, nicely done out in a clean modern style. The menu read a bit like a hipster checklist at first (avocado toast: check; scrambled tofu: check) but on closer inspection it's a nicely thought-out offering with plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. Food was good. The bacon was well done, thick-cut and the eggs were perfectly cooked, everything was fresh, tasty and nicely presented. The drinks were excellent and the service was quick. Bit pricey though. For nearly a tenner the "Mexican Breakfast" (basically huevos rancheros) for example was lovely but left me surprisingly hungry. Adding a second egg or a second tortilla (or both) would have made it feel like better value.

Kith & Kin is a modern coffee shop which also serves a range of food and cakes in the centre of Whitley Bay. The interior is warm and cozy and the staff attentive and friendly and service good. Along with the normal range of tea and coffee variants, the hot menu offers generally healthy options which are slightly unusual and may not be for traditional tastes. Good old traditional bacon sandwiches are available however! It's a great venue for breakfast, brunch or coffee and cake with friends.

Deceptively large shop (there is more seating around the back behind the counter). Only had a coffee which was good. Will pop back again to try the food.
