Bought a car that developed a gearbox fault 6 days later - tried to reject the car under my statutory rights but dealer refused to accept that such a law exists - demanded that I return the vehicle at my expense so he could repair it "on the cheap" - I refused. To date the vehicle has cost me over £1k in repairs - not a happy bunny. Update - just found out from the warranty company that the dealer never paid for the warranty that he put on the car - YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. 2nd update on your reply - the law CLEARLY states that I can return the car within 30 days if a fault occurs - you demanded also that I paid to return the vehicle at my cost and the thing was undriveable - no attempt to explain why you never paid for the warranty (Trading Standards have been informed) - my name is correct as the one I am called by friends.3rd update - the law does not state that I must pay to return a car that breaks down 6 days after purchase.....the law states that I am entitled to a full refund within 30 days if a fault occurs - you refused to believe that this law exists and refused to listen to any request for a refund. The warranty company has written to me and stated that they are no longer wasting their time chasing you for payment and thus have cancelled the warranty - STOP LYING.
