Kilis Kitchen

Story

Set on the South East tip of Turkey, Kilis is an idyllic Mediterranean City boasting lush grape, olive and pistachio orchards. Only 5km from the Syrian border, the region is renowned for its rich culinary heritage claiming rights to much feted favourites such as lahmacuns, pides, charcoal kebabs and world famous Baklava layered with home grown pistachios. True to its heritage, food is prepared by hand using techniques passed down over generations.

Birthplace of founder and established restaurateur Mehmet Kocakerim , Kilis Kitchen brings the authentic viand delights of Turkish, Syrian and Lebanese mezes and charcoal grilled dishes to fashionable Islington. In Kilis Kitchen, Mehmet has succeeded in adopting a tantalizing menu that
reflects the diverse, eclectic cuisine across the historic Spice Route from Istanbul to Lebanon.

Upon your arrival at Kilis Kitchen, you will immediately feel the warmth
of our gracious staff, and the resplendent surroundings where you can
savour the aura of Kilis. Our ethos is to provide you with a memorable
dining experience beyond expectations leaving you eager for the next visit.

We look forward to welcoming you.

One of the best experience ever! Amazing food with super high quality,Although a bit expensive it really nice food. I ordered one Adana kebab and one pistachio Adana kebab both really amazing but the rice a bit low on portion! There is an old lady which serve us,super kind and helpful. Highly recommend guys!
Fantastic, fresh and delicious Turkish-Lebanese food at Kilis as always. This hidden gem off Upper St never fails to disappoint. We had the two-course lunch special with shared starters and the Adana specials as mains. All in cost of £44 incl service is very reasonable. We've been with kids before and is great for families too. Will be back.
We came here for a late night dinner on a Sunday and had a lovely experience. The staff were really attentive and the service was quick. We shared a bottle of Turkish red wine, and had the vegetarian moussaka and mussels in cream sauce, and then shared a rice pudding for dessert. My partner was surprised how good the mussels were - he said they were cooked really well and the sauce was great. My moussaka was nice but not the best I’ve ever had hence the four stars. A highlight was the homemade chilli sauce for the table which was fantastic. The rice pudding was nice but a bit too thin/milky for my taste and could have been more flavourful. It was a warm day and really nice to sit outside. The restaurant had a relaxed atmosphere and the traditional decor made for great ambience. Toilets are upstairs, so not accessible. Vegetarian options: Lots of options to choose from including a couple of different mixed mezze options, a special of white bean stew, moussaka and others. Definitely a good spot for vegetarians and the menu is clearly labelled.
Sorry for the photo. I wanted to write a review after tasting the food. We ordered mixed meze. It was simply perfect!! Perfect interpretation of traditional Turkish flavors. I recommend it to everyone!!
Came here for brunch. The food was incredible. Fresh, delicious and all you can eat! Service was very friendly. Price was reasonable. Definitely coming back.
Got the healthy lunch option - was some of the most delicious Turkish mezze I’ve ever had. Lunch menu was around 15 pounds and perfectFood: 5/5
Really cute area at the back of the restaurant where they sat us. Shared a few things as a group - the mezze was good and the main bread with sausage was very delicious. Also really enjoyed the bannoffee, it just lacked bananas. Seafood with rice came in a big portion, would probably come back to try other things.Food: 4/5
Super friendly staff, amazing food. Nice and chilled vibe. Will definitely be coming again.Food: 5/5
The best Turkish restaurant I visited in London. Ate here from time to time when I was living nearby. Brought my friends here several times and they all loved the place and food. Lentil soup is the best and outstanding, maybe better than in many places in Turkey. Highly recommendFood: 5/5
Had a pleasure visiting the restaurant for my friend's bday dinner. The food was exceptional garlic bread with cheese and mixed kebab done so well. Also tried the calamari and I shall be ordering that next time because it was delicious. Only reason I gave four stars because the restaurant is small. Overall I enjoyed the food.Food: 5/5
