All dishes are bursting with flavours you wouldn't imagine on first glance. The restaurant has clearly decided to exhibit their best dishes only, which have been rigorously perfected. Killer rock music on play throughout giving the place a unique vibeFood: 5/5
Food: Frankly fine. Considering the food isn't cheap and a lot of the portion sizes are rather small, I was not impressed with any of the dishes. Service: Very nice staff and accommodated for my allergy easily. However, the food arrived way too quickly! The table could not fit the dishes so we felt super rushed, at times they could not fit the dishes on the table so we had to rush to combine plates and I just find that really unpleasant. And then because everything came out at once, by the time we started eating some dishes they were already cold. Atmosphere: very cramped restaurant, too many tables for the area. Felt quite noisy and just didn't like this vibe. For the price, I don't think it's worth it. If it was half the price, it would be a nice casual spot to grab a simple bite.
Food is always on point here! My fav dishes are the squid ink flatbread with cod’s roe as well as the brown shrimp butter with either broccoli or cabbage. Service is very friendly. They also started brunch.
Wanted to go here for years and it didn’t disappoint, our first 4 courses were brilliant flavour bombs that got us all talking, the main filled rather than wowed and the dessert gave us an ample sweet ending! Well done, ignore the shallow haters, you’ve created a really brilliant eating experience…still!Food: 4/5
Finally made it here and it didn’t disappoint. Staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating for dietary requirements. Dietary restrictions: Accomodating
Overall: this place is cool. Expect really flavorful food. You'll love this place if you're cool with whatever and down to just go with the flow. If you're not chill and cool. You'll hate this place, but I really enjoyed it. Food: everything was delicious, but there was no cohesive theme to how the menu of the day. One dish could be Mediterranean and the next an asian soup. It's just a bunch of yummy food thrown together. Drinks: only canned beers to my knowledge. My friend ordered a cocktail and she didn't enjoy it all that much. Service: everyone who works here is lovely.
We had read quite a few bad reviews so we weren’t expecting a great experience. However the food was outstanding. It is very rare to get a full vegan menu so imaginative and exciting, particularly in non-vegan restaurant. Every dish was delightful and although the portions weren’t big, by the time we had worked your way through the set menu we were pleasantly full. The staff were friendly and attentive. The tables are quite small but there enough room for our shared dishes and our drinks. The music was quite loud but the playlist very good. It isn’t cheap but we really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. Vegetarian options: There is a full vegan/vegetarian set menu. We had the vegan one, others had the vegetarian and the rest had the meat set menu
I quite liked the rock and roll atmosphere and the general vibe. The price-fixed menu was quite good, although if you come really hungry you might want to order some of the bolt on dishes. We had ox heart on hash browns which was great. The problem for me is the price. A meal for two with a few drinks can reach £150. And to be honest, you can eat better in London for half that. Still had a ball.
Food and service both get full stars all round, everyone is so lovely and attentive. Service was very accommodating and the dishes were something else. Why the menu isn’t posted on their website? No idea. Why is a set menu of shared dishes between 2 people £49 each? No clue either. We felt super bamboozled when we arrived because of the price tag, and even more so when the dishes arrived and the portions were TINY. We were sharing every dish between the 2 of us and I was so confused I even asked if it was £49 for 2 people. everything you see in the photos cost us £140 at the end, sooooooooooooo overpriced for this area it’s insane.
I’ve been to FKABAM three times now, and it’s hands down one of my favourite restaurants in London. Different wonderful culinary experiences each time, and the food is adventurous and fun. You can tell they have fun putting the menu together, and the flavours are dialled up to 11. I love coming and eating things I wouldn’t usually have at home, like calves brain, or ox heart. And I love sharing - it’s the best way to eat. I know a lot of people might not love the music being so loud, but it’s perfect, because you can still talk to your friends, but no one else can hear you! The music choices are also great. The staff are super attentive, friendly, and relaxed, and have always made me feel welcome. Can’t wait to come again soon, and try the next set menu.
