The Kenwood House is a nice second or third tier sight to see in London. The house has a nice collection of paintings including works by famous masters such as Turner. The grounds were pleasent to walk around and the talk, I attended on a particular painting was informative. The house doesn't take long to see. I didn't need more than an hour.
A lovely museum with gorgeous art work displayed. The property and surrounding Hampstead Heath is great to explore after going inside. They are wheelchair accessible and have a lift if you need it. Easy to get to from public transport. The photo frame dress up is cute for all ages! The staff are friendly and polite.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYes
We spent our Sunday walking the Hempstead Heath circular, which walks directly past this stately house. It is free to enter and not only has some of the most beautiful period architecture and furniture, but doubles up as an art gallery with pieces from renowned artists such as Rembrandt and Wright of Derby. Outside is also beautiful with plenty of space for a picnic and place to chill out. If you’re doing the circular walk - why not pop in and add a degree of culture to your day!
A very nice house surrounded by a big garden area. Entry to house us free. You can enjoy yourself with your family, kids, and pet. I enjoyed it on a sunny day. You can have a good walk around the lake and green area.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo wait
Such a beautiful place, awesome paintings, history, architecture... Something very different from Royal Palaces, a must visit place. Their landscape and backdrop gardens are amazing too. My son has been volunteering there for the summer and absolutely loved it.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Had a thoroughly pleasant visit here today. The staff were all very polite, informative & very helpful. As a free to visit site it's very popular, especially on a nice sunny day & the car parking can get a bit restrictive when busy. The cafe has a great selection of food etc but be aware it doesn't open properly until midday so don't start whining at the staff when you want a sausage roll before that time, which some people did today. Al in all very much worth a visit & would love to visit again.
English heritage run building. It is nice enough and has an appending cafe/restaurant/garden and book/garden shop. Very busy. Free entry up the main house. Honestly, we were a bit underwhelmed by the collections in the house. Nothing too exciting to see. A good Ruben portrait aside.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Such a pretty Victorian house and it’s free to enter. A nice day out in Hampstead heath Park with this gorgeous museum would be lovely. It’s really nice and quiet not everyone knows about it. There’s a cafe as well.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
If I had known entry was free I would have visited ages ago! The house is mainly serving as an art gallery. Some of the paintings are indifferent, some are impressive. The gardens are mostly rhododendrons and lawns. There are three shops and two cafes. Worth visiting once at least.
On the edge of Hampstead Heath and surrounded by tranquil landscaped gardens, a London gem is hidden from the people's eyes it's called Kenwood. The breathtaking interiors which I admired much and stunning world class art collection, this country house is full of interesting things for everyone. A wonderful and colourful interior is really eye catching and make you feel to enjoy old classical times in real life especially library and Gardens and striking white building standing in middle of green place and pond surrounded with beautiful birds. From children's activities to the senior people interests, there is something to everyone to enjoy this place. a café to relax and acres of grounds to stretch your legs, there are treats in store for every visitor. It's free then why not try to explore it when you around. I happily recommend.
