My Details of this experience are shocking! and if i could give a 0 star or less rating i would!!!! i had called the firm and had given more then enough information about/for my booking, to then find out "once my cab hadn't arrived 6 hours later" that the person who answered the phone has forgot to book it in!! when called back to find out what was happening... it seemed as if they are just there to answer a phone and couldn't care less about there job or providing a service! i will and actively will encourage people to use another local firm with cheaper rates and who take pride in there work! after all they got me home tonight where this company couldn't. You should hang your heads in shame! you use to be number one.. now your gone..
Brilliant service from start to finish booking a car easy, telephonists are friendly twice this week myself and my other half have been out and absolutely spot on as with all taxis you can't help it if they are a little late but the text back service is a refreshing change to know who is picking you up to giving you plenty of warning when they arrive cheapest firm in hull. The drivers are spot on and so polite to talk to. Keep it up Karen's kars
I live in town but invited three of my friends back to my place after a night out to wait for a taxi. We called Karen's Cabs and was told that it would be a 40 minutes wait for a taxi and said that would be fine. 40 minutes went by and no taxi arrived. I gave it another 10 minutes and still nothing. I called the firm back and was told that the taxi had arrived but that there was no one there to meet it. I was stood at the top landing of my building 5 minutes before the taxi was due to arrive so I knew this not to be true. They then said that they could arrange for another taxi to be sent but this would be in half an hour. Again the taxi did not arrive. This time I was stood in the street, sat on the kerb waiting, again we were told that the taxi had arrived but no one was there. I assume that because we had been out drinking that they thought they could say anything and we would believe it. I would advise anyone not to use this company as the experience I received was not acceptable. I work in customer services myself and this would not be accepted by any of my customers.
If I could give this company minus stars, I would. I had been staying in Hessle for work all week and after a long day needed to catch my train back to London. Needless to say these trains go infrequently from Hessle station as it's quite remote, so I booked my taxi 45 minutes in advance to make sure I was there half an hour before my train left. The time came around, no taxi. I waited 5 minutes and then called them back, the man on the other end seemed annoyed that I'd called to ask if it was on it's way. He said it would be there in a minute and it was just up the top of Ferriby Road. Fifteen minutes passed and still nothing. At this point I was flustered, knowing I would miss my train, and called again to be told the man had in fact forgot to send the taxi in the first place. Therefore, admitting he'd lied about where it was. Me being obviously annoyed by this he said he would send another car, but it wouldn't be there in time to catch my train. I was upset, knowing I now wouldn't be getting home til near midnight and he said "well what do you want me to do? I can't do nothing else." The taxi finally arrived nearly 45 minutes later than scheduled, and I was greeted by a driver who said "I was meant to pick you up over half an hour ago!" As if it was funny. Whether you're in town for work or a local, avoid this company at all costs. It seems I'm not the only person to have received awful customer service like this in the past, and obviously nothing has changed. Disgraceful.
STAY AWAY.... Do NOT use. They adjust the meters when it's suits and charged me nearly 3 times more than the usual price for the same fare. When you ring and ask they are extremely RUDE and either put you on hold or hand up. They have been reported to the council and it's not a suprise as they have had numerous complaints of fiddling and messing with prices but mainly turning the meter off!! The council are aware of this and are trying to shut 654321 down. Good. They need stopped. They act worse than children and don't take responsibility of their actions and the drivers make You feel bullied into giving you the change by saying they don't have a couple of quid and offer your change in shrapnel. Disgracful and I certainly would stay away if you still want change after a £5 fare. This is not new and when I spoke to the council they are aware of the metre fiddling and rip off rates!!!
I called the firm several times to ask why my driver had taken so long and had in turn made me so late. Driver was 20 minutes because he chose to take another fare before my own despite the fact I booked in advance. When I then confronted the driver about this after waiting nearly 25 minutes for him to arrive he declared that it wasn't his fault and blamed it on something to do with a bus, despite the fact I had just called the firm and they told me he just picked up another passenger and drove them to their destination before me for no apparent reason. Awful, incompetent and rude. Avoid using this firm at all.
