Enjoyed a 'nice' meal with friendly service - been some time since our last visit. With a little polish, could be so much better. The cooking lacks flair and things like chips were a little greasy. Battered cod had too much thick & heavy batter although the fish inside was OK. My venison steak was nice but lacked seasoning and flavour. The truffle promised in the gratin was very muted. Lemon tart should be singing with bright lemon but again was bland. A good venue for a family meal or with children. comfortable and friendly.
Beautiful food and excellent quality, reasonably priced and fantastic service. Very pleasant and attentive staff. Highly recommend a visit! Can't wait to come back already!
A visit to Junction 28 in Bassaleg is like revisiting an old friend, nothing ever seems to change much. This was our first visit since before lockdown, we had a really enjoyable lunch and it was nice to see additional vegetarian choices on the menu. The service as always was attentive and the food was beautifully.

Absolutely amazing!! Staff was so welcoming and very attentive. The waiter tonight was so amazing and so friendly and made us all laugh! The food and sauces he recommend was delicious! The Pigeon was tender and well cooked, and the steak for main was lush! The diane sauce is a must!! Everyone made us all feel comfortable, we will definitely be back in the near future!!
Good ratings when it's due. We had a lovely birthday meal as a family of 6 tonight. We spent £136 between us all for a three course meal each, well worth money. The quality of food was fantastic. Came here for lunch on a Saturday and really enjoyed! The food we had was fantastic and packed with flavour. Loads of vegan options even a separate vegan set menu with a good range of options that were different from the usual! I had the aubergine rolls with ratatouille which was delicious and biscoff crumble after - so good! Fairly priced and good atmosphere - would definitely visit again! : thank you!
Brilliant place for a quality meal. We went for my nans birthday. Staff couldn't do enough for us and the food was superb. My daughter wanted 2 of the kids meals put together and they did it, no questions asked. Great place Kid-friendliness: They were very good with my daughter, engaged with her, cooked her a meal at her request.
I have been to Junction 28 a few times with my workplace. The manager has always sat us down and taken our order. We find him extremely helpful and amusing. The food has always been amazing, and the staff are always very attentive. I love the carriage seating area. Parking: Plenty of parking spaces.
