Usually use this shop when visiting London for battery changes and always have a pleasant experience. Recently used it to get a very precious watch serviced and repaired. They did a great job. The watch looked like new when I picked it up which exceeded all my expectations. Very pleased in all.
Popped in to check my ring size before getting a wedding ring. Lady behind the counter said in a somewhat dismissive way that "we can do a check BUT it would cost £4.5" I thanked and left never to return. Just to add for clarity, any other jewelry shop does the check happily for free, as I experienced, and likely to ask some questions about what you are looking for - as you would expect from a normal shop.
I took my Tag Heuer in for a new battery and paid the extra for waterproofing only to find after I'd been for.a swim a week later that the back was not even tightened up properly! I would give them 0 stars!
Had my watch battery fitted during my lunch time and it was cheaper than the shop down the road. I also purchased a watch strap. I like this shop and the service was spot on. Staff helpful too.
I write this review as a result of a recent experience from another watch repair, Harrys Watches in London Bridge. Last summer I took my Tag Carrera Calibre 6 to be serviced at Jonathan Geeves, we agreed a fee of £295 but upon completion I was charged a further £112 for a 'Complete auto mechanism + mainspring', surely this should have been included in the service fee?? But what makes me compelled to write this review now is because JG refused to clean a small scratch mark inside the watch face without a further charge. Harry's Watches charged me £70 to replace the button and stem, and cleaned the scratch for free! That's what results in repeat business!
I can't fault Jonathan and his team. They were really quick and attentive and extremely helpful.i needed a wedding ring fast in an odd size and they couldn't possibly have been more accommodating Plus super value for money. One very happy customer!
I brought a beaded necklace in for restringing and was charged £35. When I got it back, they had not used the original wire to determine the length of the necklace and when I tried it on, it didn't fit around my neck. I said to the lady behind the counter that they hadn't done it right. Her response was that I should 'hang it in the warm and it might loosen'. This was at least 2-3 inches too short. She also told me that I must have not gotten all of the beads picked up. The man behind the counter said they could add length, but that they would have to charge me for that. I sent an email to them, but received no answer. No customer service whatsoever here.
Appalling customer service. A bracelet repair for which they advised me of £35 was charged at £50. They have your jewellery, you have no choice but to pay in order to get it back. A letter sent on 20 January simply ignored. Not a jeweller I will use again and would advise others to avoid.
Wanted to get our engagement ring re-sized. I thought the ring was a N, wanting to resize to a size N-half but it turned out to be a M which confused me and I had to re-consider whether I wanted to have it enlarged to a N-half or only M-half. Just my luck I got an a-hole to help me. After our initial conversation and my confusion the a-hole's boss walked up and asked what the issue was to which he replied "he doesn't know what size the ring should be" with a smirk on his face... His boss replied, "..then he should go and find out what the size should be before coming back.." They were standing about 2ft away from me. Insensitive a-holes. I knew the size the ring should be but hesitated when realising the ring needs to be re-sized 1.5 sizes instead of only a half size. I then asked for the ring back and told them not to bother and I'll get it done somewhere else. Now he was standing there with question marks on his face wondering why I don't want to use their services.. haha what a laugh! Rather find a jeweller where you'll get personal service from friendly staff who won't laugh at you when you get confused about something you're not an expert on.
My wife ordered a Tissot watch from their website and it arrived by special delivery the next working day. The watch was a very good price, £40 less than a local jeweller so fantastic value.
