We are a large family run furniture shop selling the best of British upholstery and furniture. We have a wide selection of Antique furniture and Grandfather clocks, plus, beds and bedroom furniture, Interior design, fabrics, blinds, wallpapers, accessories and rugs. Located in heart of Keswick our showroom is always worth paying a visit.
Deliveries can be arranged country wide and we can also ship furniture abroad.

Excellent customer service, with top quality furnishings at varied price ranges. Liz has a wealth of experience and knowledge and a keen eye for interior design. She offers a complementary design service and helped me choose the style and fabric for curtains and cushions to furnish my living room, dining room and bedrooms and organised for these to be professionally made. A most enjoyable experience! They look amazing and are of superb quality; I wish I had another house to furnish! I definitely recommend John Young Furnishings and will return again when the budget allows.

This is a truly wonderful establishment. I cannot praise the staff too highly, especially Liz for all her amazing knowledge and hard work in helping me to achieve far more than I had hoped in a complete renovation of our drawing room, including new sofas and chairs, curtains, window seats and cushions. Liz thought of everything, including trimmings, tiebacks and arm throws, and the final result is very special indeed. The workmanship involved in the furniture , curtains and upholstery far exceeds anything I have experienced elsewhere, and it is so good to have everything made by experts in England. I will be recommending John Young very highly in future and I am greatly looking forward my next upholstery project so that I can again visit the showroom and ask Liz's advice. I wish you all at John Young great success in the future and very many thanks for all your help

it's such a warm and inviting shop - well, it's really two shops in one -so if you go in the front door, make sure you go all the way to the back and across the courtyard to the masive showroom - a real mix of traditional and modern. Loads of great present ideas as there are accessories of every kind. Loved the cushions, clocks, mirrors. They don't pester you but are very helpful if you need anything. I always find something I need or want...

I came across this store whilst on holiday in the Lake District.  I had been looking for a comfortable relaxing leather reclining chair for sometime online to no avail.  John Young had one in the window which drew me into the store to sample.  Their customer service boarders on the experiential which is what is missing from most outlets.  Fabulous service and custom.  Even though they are c300 miles from me, would not hesitate to call John Young to source future home furnishings.  Well done to all at John Young Furnishings.

Good range of quality furniture and curtaining/upholstering cloth choices. Very professional curtain & blind making and fitting services + an excellent bay-window tracking installer.  Am delighted with what we bought through John Young's and, above all, with the personal service we received.  Thoroughly recommend them as an organisation of quality and empathetic professionalism.

Brilliant service from John Young furnishings. We updated our sofa with bespoke new seat cushions, Liz helped us to choose an ideal fabric from a wide quality selection. They we're delivered to our home and were perfect. We've used Youngs for years because of this excellent personal service, high quality and value for money.

This is a shop which we always take time to visit when we stay in Keswick. We first noticed some of their items in our favourite local hotel. The shop itself has a unique feel in that they have a selection of furnishing and soft furnishing which is unique and appealing. We would buy more from there if we weren’t 150 miles away. All the staff are welcoming and helpful and don’t push sales which they don’t need to as the products are excellent including table lamps,fabrics, mirrors and various suites chairs which I haven’t seen elsewhere. Great place for discerning customers at reasonable prices.

We purchased an amazing table and chairs from John Youngs Furnishings when we were on holiday in the Lakes. The staff could not have been more helpful and we placed an order. We are some distance from Keswick where the shop is, however, the delivery services used by John Youngs Furnishings were brilliant. The quality of the table and chairs is of the highest calibre, we are incredibly please with it. What can I say lovely people, impeccable service, highly recommend.

I buy all my furnishings here as the range is so wide and I find things here I don't see anywhere else. All the upholstery is British made too, so you can design a sofa to exactly fit your needs and style. Big fabric department and they not only make curtains but offer good free advice too.

A great shop - there are actually two shops and I well recommend the one at the back which has a stunning range of interiors over two floors.  The staff were really knowledgeable,  helpful and had some great ideas.   Definitely worth a visit if you are wanting to update your home.
