I've been coming to this restaurant since it was Welwyn Department Stores and waitress service but the food offerings have lately left much to be desired. Barely 2pm and most of the sandwich selections are not there delivery problems we are told; the cakes are never very good - who wants a cheap baked cheesecake when you could have all the delectable fruit-based flavours of a set cheesecake. Last time I had one if the sponge cakes but it was dry and I left it. The tea is average. For goodness sake, you are John Lewis, up your standards! I've had far superior lunches/snacks in little corner shops!
Fantastic customer service today from the team at John Lewis Welwyn Garden City. My son's scooter purchased for his Birthday was missing a key part. I went into the store and it was resolved within 15 minutes. Alex Snowball and Karl Toombs went out of their way to ensure my son's scooter was fixed there and then on site. Happy customer.nEd Buckley is also a super start on that same floor who is very knowledgeable about an array of products and always greets his customers warmly.nThanks team
Shop itself is lovely but for some unknown reason the cafe have started a queuing system outside of the cafe.. this would make sense if it was busy however, after sneaking round there was over half the tables left! The gentleman that is us ally doing the queue who seems like some sort of manager has a huge power complex. Do better.
