Anytime I've traded in or bought stuff the boys & girls here have always been helpful and friendly. You can always have a good chat with them whilst being served about various games, films & anime and find you have quite abit in common
Like James experienced last year, I to was cheated. I bought a second hand mini ipad a few years ago, I was a clueless old lady and the girl behind the counter sold me one that was so old I couldn’t download any apps. I went back with it they said the model was to old for apps. they didn’t want to know. They have no conscience. Never been there since.
Took in a Mac Mini which, although old, works perfectly and has been in daily use. Cleaned it up, wiped all data and left it with an uninitialized copy of Mavericks as installed as part of the recovery process. Staff called a day later to say that it wouldn't pass their tests, wouldn't run YouTube, they'd spent a couple of hours upgrading it, etc. Have just unpacked it at home and not only is it working fine, the OS was the same uninitialized copy of Mavericks I dropped it off with, so they never actually upgraded it. If you're going to lie to customers who act in good faith, then I suggest you review your business model. Appalling. I work in IT so I know I've been lied to but if you are not technically inclined, you could easily get taken in.
Great store I’ve been going cex since 2001 Been to loads of stores over the years and I must say this store is the best The staff are very polite and have a chat with you unlike most stores I always get served very quickly and don’t have to wait around all day for a item to be tested I never wait to be served Well done and thanks as I buy sell trade as a hobby and always have loads of stuff to trade in so I go to a cex most days 10/10
Good exchange price is very fare
Pricing aside as this is set centrally I have found this CeX a bit hit and miss depending on who is serving. Having been caught out before with discs that have not played correctly due to scratching I insist on checking these prior to purchase and having them cleaned if needed. On one occasion had a few items to buy which were mostly fine 1 needed a clean and spotted a box set of Blu-rays on the back wall, when I asked to check the discs over about 12 in total the staff member I was dealing with pulled a face and whilst not directly rude gave an off putting attitude from that point. Whilst the store do offer a warranty I find it easier to address these issues at the time of purchase as it costs money to head back to the store later on.
Great place to exchange your tech for cash or store credit. Pretty well stocked shop offering everything from tablets and laptops to consoles and games. 2 year warranty included on most things, but check at time of purchase. Have picked up quite a few bargain console games here and recently a Wii + accessories.
I was only visiting as I’m not a local but on arriving it didn’t appear to look like a normal CEX store. The store happen to be clean and the shelves were actually organised and sorted rather then finding them a mess. The staff were welcoming and helpful, and even though the devices I brought for the trade were ineligible, I couldn’t help but leave with a pleasant feeling from the store. Overall I would highly recommend it, and there’s not a single bad thing I could find. Great job guys and thank you!
Love the Drop and Go service, saves all the waiting around in store
A nice place for your trade in used phones. A limited range of devices for sale though.
