Only a week ago I would have given this place a 5 star rating as a self employed person who has to visit to discuss my self employment and have my benefits topped up.I only visit once a month, I thought it was to save me the journey but ultimately it seems that it was just not to put the coach out rather than thinking of me.I genuinely think a lot of the people I have seen in the past are lovely. And there are nice security people who can tell I'm a nice, well mannered, diligent and studious person, I hope I can change this back to a higher rating and someone will listen, I rearranged an appointment a day before the date and said I would pop down in a day or two to the office ten miles from my home as has always been the case, I didn't foresee a problem and any sensible person, as I'm sure there are a lot of there, to be fair would see that I was prepared to put myself out to travel there and not avoiding anyone, I ended up travelling the ten miles down but because I'd missed a voicemail, I get loads of voicemails btw, my coach who has previously been fair and pleasant decided to sanction me for a hundred pounds of benefit, I asked for a reconsideration which was going to be later on today but the amount with the 100 pounds docked off has just gone in regardless, even after a phone appointment discussing this as if they have forgotten or couldn't care less, I have more bills than usual this Christmas after such a good start to my coaching and any other rearrangements I've made not being a problem at all, it just seems totally out of character and really a bit vindictive as it's unreasonable. There are enough uncaring and unreasonable people in the world already but I didn't expect any mentors or coaches to fit this description. I will phone up again and ask firmly why my reconsideration has been forgotten about or ignored, my coach seemed nice but this is so unreasonable and unpleasant, other people might say nasty which is the word I really want to use, if anyone reading this can encourage me to seek the right kind of help I'd be much obliged. I now have had this situation rectified quite rightly I felt at ease when I spoke to security and always have done they can see I'm dedicated and responsible, I hope to continue growing my business hopefully with astrology talks and talks about Spirituality in general but I have to report earnings and rely on Universal credit if I don't make enough, I have for a number of years unfortunately so life is difficult for entrepreneurs strangely as they work on their initiative, I don't need added problems or difficult people as a nice person so thank God the situation at Christmas was sorted out and good prevailed! I didn't think there was anything unpleasant or personal involved as a self employed person wanting to grow their bizz and also as a qualified Tutor and well being Compassion Mentor and this certainly applies to almost everyone there, however I got a slight repercussion upon one of my monthly visits that suggested otherwise, but staff rallied round to support me when I felt got at by another member of staff, I found one member of staff, particularly supportive, she was lovely, I had a mandatory reconsideration of a Christmas setback, I can't always make a lot of money as a self employed compassionate mentor and Literature tutor without added support, I'm thinking the staff member who was unreasonable with me must've been overstressed as he was talking as I shouldn't have had a mandatory reconsideration, I tried to say yes but it had happened as I was being perfectly reasonable in an assertive but non aggressive manner, he suddenly rose to his feet came towards me and actually threatened a civilised person like myself with security I was pretty shocked by the sudden change in attitude towards me,surely he could see I was a polite , well mannered and conscientious person??..perhaps envious of my standard of education?!

They are allergic to the telephones and to get even as much as a simple enquiry answered via telephone is pointless as the call handler will reject calls repeatedly and you will not get ahold of anyone no matter how hard you try to. Prepare yourself for hours of time wasted listening to their call bot ramble on an on about totally irrelevant information to your call
Your mileage may vary!! I say this because whilst my experiences here hav always been nothing short of always exceeding my expectations, my partner's dealings here have been woefully poor. It all depends on who you get, I suppose, hence I say your mileage may vary. In my personal experience, I have always found the staff here to be efficient, friendly and fast... from Colin at Reception who wears so much jewellery, he reminds me of a white Mr. T from "A-Team", to Beverly and Tanya the job coaches. Tanya helped me immensely in guiding me when starting my own self-employed business. But Beverly, she is truly in another league. I have never met a more down-to-earth, friendly, proactive, and knowledgeable job coach than Beverly. Her help and support have pulled through when I didn't expect anything to happen, and she was instrumental in helping me get back on my feet while I was searching for work. In fairness, everyone I have dealt with MYSELF here in this Jobcentre has been a star for how good they are at what they do, and how helpful they have been. Again, that's just me, but it's been good.
On hold for over an hour.......going to have to hang up with still no resolution. What a joke!

I was looking for a job and then I found a job, and heaven knows I'm miserable now.
