Went to buy a car from Ford lookers South Shields and was attended by John Richardson, he was lovely giving great and sound advice, he went up and beyond my expectations. Required a new car. Mark Green assisted me throughout the process, proving to be knowledgeable, personable and an effective and timely communicator throughout. Lookers service team south shields, brilliant service and attention to detail. After having the run-around over the phone I decided to see the team face to face. Stephanie/Stef was amazing. I now have a service plan, an MOT booked and European cover road side assistance for an AMAZING price and peace of mind. And I know how much things cost. Great prices and peace of mind. I would not recommend Lookers Ford based on our experience.nnAfter purchasing our vehicle, a bodywork professional we know noticed several issues with the alignment of the body panels and suggested the car may previously have been involved in an accident.nnWe immediately raised our concerns with our finance company. They advised us to obtain an independent inspection and also contacted Lookers Ford regarding the matter.nnShortly afterwards, Lookers contacted us directly and offered to inspect the vehicle themselves. The inspection was carried out by the General Manager, Dave, along with another member of the dealership team.nnFollowing that inspection, we were categorically assured that the vehicle had not been involved in an accident.nnWhen we specifically questioned why several body panels did not line up correctly, we were told that “the cars are mass produced and you will get some imperfections.” We accepted that explanation because we believed we could rely on the expertise of a main Ford dealer and its General Manager.nnSome time later, after L was involved in a separate low-speed incident, the vehicle was taken to an independent repairer through our insurance. During the repair process, we were informed that the vehicle appeared to have previously sustained substantial accident damage and poor quality repairs, which should of been picked up before sale or at the very least when Dave and his team inspected themselves.nnIf that proves to be correct, it raises serious questions about the inspection carried out by Lookers and the assurances we were given. We relied on those assurances when deciding to keep the vehicle.nnWhat has also been extremely disappointing is the way our complaint has been handled since. Communication has been poor, we have repeatedly had to chase for updates, and we have been left feeling that our concerns have not been taken seriously.nnWe purchased from a main dealer because we expected honesty, professionalism and confidence in the condition of the vehicle. Instead, we have been left questioning the inspection, the advice we were given and the overall customer service. Based on our experience, I would not recommend Lookers Ford.
Great, simple to book MOT, good communication. Able to check progress throughout day and left voicemail when ready to collect. Happily recommend. Gave estimate and price exactly as quoted. And they cleaned my van which was rather minging before!
