I would like to share with you my son's experience of how these people treat their prospective employees. My son Harry was so keen to work for these at The Avenue Care Home, Rushden. He successfully completed his training after accepting their night time carer offer, completed his training, and was really looking forward to making a difference in this field. As we all know, its badly paid, workers aren't really treated very well and aren't thought of too highly. After many many calls from Claire and others, he then, out of no where received a short one line email, stating they were unable to obtain a reference from a previous employer, named Karla, even though during one of the many many calls from this company Harry could substitute it with a personal reference. It transpires that no reference was requested from Karla I've spokength and the DBS took longer than average, none the less came back clear. These people for no good reason crushed my son. He was so destroyed by the way they dismissed him, and he tried desperately to email these asking for an explanation as to what he had done wrong, They did not answer him at all. Showing Harry nothing but contempt. I spoke further to Christopher and had a series of excuses more than ready which I was able to successfully challenge all of them. My son committed suicide on the 28th August just gone and I wanted everyone to know that, in part this company was responsible. I accept not fully but definitely a large part of his being crushed. They haven't even apologised or acknowledged they have had any part in Harry's apauling treatment. These are hard and callous people and my advice is to steer well clear.
