James acted as a lettings management agent on a flat for us and as a selling agent when we sold the property. The help and advice on preparing the property for letting was detailed and supportive. The property was sold within two weeks of going on the market. In both cases - letting and sales - their services was excellent. We were always kept fully informed and liaison between us and our tenants was very professional, as was the liaison with our buyers. Great personal and professional service for a period of three years. Thanks!
I arranged an appointment for James to value a rental property, which I drove 180 miles for. They cancelled the appointment an hour before it was due, citing it not being their type of property or an area they are interested in. Absolutely fair enough, but none of that had changed since the previous week when I made the appointment - which, in my opinion, is when they should have told me that they weren't interested in my business. They didn't even have the grace to phone me to apologise, they just dropped an email saying they wouldn't be coming. Looking at other reviews on here they clearly offer decent service to some customers - which is why I selected them in the first place. Presumably though this service only extends to those customers that they consider 'good enough' for them. I'm sorry I didn't meet your exacting standards James!
Highly recommend they for anyone who looking to buy a house. From the very beginning and throughout the process, they always respond quickly and professionally, thanks to Catherine, Mary and Samantha, we bought the lovely house!
Fantastic agency, wonderfully run by the ladies, could always get hold of Sam - really friendly and helpful. From a tenant point of view, anything that was an issue with the property we were in, was fixed straight away, no issues at all with the company, would high recommend!
We went through 2 different agents before we finally found James’s estate agent and I’m so glad we had them to sell our house and help us purchase another one. We had a bit of a rocky ride in terms of our sale and purchase but the amazing team, Catherine, Mary and Samantha helped us throughout. They were always so considerate and friendly and gave us all the information we needed as soon as they had it. They spent time making sure we understood the buying and selling process and really put in the hours to making sure our sale got over the line. Recently used James to sell my family property and had considered using a bigger corporate brand but my past experience with James Estates Agents was so good that I appointed them. The sale proved to be challenging and the buyer reduced the initial agreed sales price very substantially, despite all this James Estate Agents, dealt with all the issues in a professional and diplomatic manner and it was only through their tenacity and experience in dealing with difficult buyers that the deal held together. They even arranged for some last minute clearance to be done for me. I would have no hesitation in recommending them as an agent who goes the extra mile. Keep up the great work.
