We had the most wonderful Afternoon Tea at the weekend to celebrate my birthday. The food was absolutely delicious. The sandwiches were very fresh, the scones light and tasty and the cakes were scrumptious. All the staff were really lovely and friendly. Sometimes the service was a little slow, but we weren’t in any hurry. I would definitely recommend Afternoon Tea at The Chester and hope to return soon.
Booked in on Fridzy for one night DBB, the hotel was lovely, Staff were very attentive and pleasant the dinner was amazing, the only crib was breakfast in the morning, after such an amazing experience it was total let down to have to queue for breakfast and negotiate a toaster which kept getting stuck. What a shame for such a lovely hotel.
Very nice and comfortable hotel. Several buildings, it is quite difficult to get to the reception from the back parking. Downloading an app, you can make a digital check in. Very good restaurant.Rooms: 5/5
Very central, we got upgraded to a suite, kind and helpful staff. Good breakfast but missing fresh cut fruits and vegan options.
Stayed for two nights and had a work conference here. One of the best places I've ever stayed. Staff went above and beyond especially Ben and Aurora. Highly recommendedRooms: 5/5
Staff were very attentive when I was there for a meeting. The car parking at the rear was difficult to get to down a narrow lane, and the interior decor of the hotel was very dark - especially for an older person like myself with poor eyesight. Overall the impression is of a large, plush place, with great staff but a few minor negatives.
Had a room booked for a function. Email advised we can check in online and download room key to mobile phone. App barely worked, constantly freezing and crashing. Got to room with bags and room key on app didn't work. Had to find way back to reception to get a physical key card. Bathroom extractor fan didn't work, shower screen leaked, and room dusty. The room window was level with an access path so had to keep curtains closed as people could see in to our room. Also noisy when people passing. The staff were really pleasant but we were just really disappointed with what we got the price of the room which didn't even include breakfast.
Had a family wedding here It was superb Perfect organisation and service. Lovely rooms. Rooms: Contemporary, spacious and comfortable Walkability: This hotel consists of 3 blocks and it sometimes felt you were in a maze when trying to locate facilities and accomodation Food & drinks: Food was good Drinks menu adequate but expensive Noteworthy details: This hotel has wonderful staff who were most helpful to all members of our family-young and old.
Very positive experience. Food was excellent, environment was lovely and staff were very friendly and helpful. We popped in on a whim for lunch as we were shopping in Aberdeen and hadn't been in since before the renovations several years ago. We were very impressed, both by the lovely decor inside and for myself by the absolutely tremendous whisky collection on display. The staff were lovely and friendly and one young gentleman who's name slips my mind now was very happy to show me around the entire collection and give me some info on whiskies available to buy. The food took a reasonable amount of time, it was well presented and very tasty. Price was a little on the high end as you'd expect in such a place but overall between enjoyability and environment was still good value for money and we had a very enjoyable meal. Hope to return for one of the evening tasting menus in the near future.
Had a beautiful family lunch with top quality food and a wide selection of cocktails. The private function room was spacious, warm and light and airy. The staff were attentive and obviously trained to ensure that guests enjoy their time there.
