What a great bar, and the food is excellent. The staff are super friendly and really helpful. The place was buzzing when I went which made for a really good atmosphere. I had the root veg tagine which was so tasty. Probably the best veg meal I have had since I came to Aberdeen. Highly recommended!! Vegetarian options: Root vegetale tagine
The place had a good buzz about it servicing a wealthy clientele. Good service at the bar offered me droplets with my whiskey. The choice of whiskeys is not extensive but a good selection. Only had a drink here I do wish I had stayed for dinner however but you can only eat at so many places in a night.
Very nice! First time and will be back, we had the Roast Beef and it was great!! We would go as far as to say “the best” we have ever had, other than when we cook our own .
Had the scallops that tasted okay but was very fishy. The mains which was the steak burger had additional crispy onions and bacon. Onions were burnt and old and bacon was rock solid and not fresh. Told the middle aged waitress who did not give a rat’s backside so i reiterated to a different waitress who was more apologetic. Worst meal i have had in Aberdeen so far. This was embarrassing. The restaurant was pretty empty the whole night too which explains why
You get an awesome Sunday roast beef here. All the trimmings, great food and good value. Just ask for it on a warmed plate rather than the board to retain the heat in your meal for longer.

It was a random find for us as we were just looking for somewhere near where we were but it was a great find. Really nice and interesting food. My only criticism would be the portion size on my fish was small but very tasty nonethelessFood: 4/5
Ten of us thought it would be special to book the private room for a family meal but a few of us was left disappointed. The fish and chips meal was the worst I have ever had eating out. The fish was frozen but doubled battered to make it look bigger. The chips turned into five wedges and the tartar sauce was just s teaspoon worth all for £19.00 The best meal turned out to be a fish pie but the rest was middle of the road to terrible. For £300 plus it was definitely disappointing
Great atmosphere in a long established Aberdeen drinking and eating house. Hadn't been for a while and was very pleasantly surprised, food and service were first class.
