Stayed here recently as it's relatively close to the Manor Wildlife Park and is pet friendly and had a reasonable priced family room £112 including breakfast.nnThe Family Room FinennThe room 2 double beds and plenty of space for a cot and dog area was fine. Mattresses weren't the best, bedding also on the lighter side but we were all tired from a long drive from London so all good.nnAlso there was a wedding reception going on here and we heard nothing in the wing we stayed in so no issues there. My only request would be a family room probably needs a bath and not just a shower.nnDinner not goodnnThe dining area could do with a bit of a refresh but the most disappointing thing was the food we ordered for dinner. The child dishes were over cooked from the pasta to the jacket potato which were all pre cooked and warmed to oblivion. Nothing was served child friendly, no appropriate cutlery for them.nnMy toasted ham and cheese had the toughest ham ever so removed that.nnMy wife's chilli probably the best thing from a very poor set of plates that I wouldn't have an issue if the costs were low but we paid a fair whack for below average food.nnWhen we complained about the kids food the staff offered us up two deserts which was nice of them but they would have made us happier with decent plates of food.nnBreakfast DecentnnEverything is laid out well, standard full English, cereal, fruits and yogurts. Kids loved it. Discovered my 19 month toddler loves baked beans here!nnStaff FriendlynnAll staff very nice in general, no issues.
We stayed in the ivy bush royal hotel last night, upon arrive we went to reception to check in, the receptionist told us our room number breakfast times, no mention of where to order an evening meal, we had to find out ourselves. Also had to go back to reception as the key didn’t work after eating our meal, she reprogrammed our key and said not to put the key near our phones, this could have been mentioned before hand, every other hotel I’ve stayed at the receptionist is very happy and very helpful and tells you everything you should need to know..nThis morning I had to get up very early due to my daughter having an appointment in the Glangwli hospital, the morning staff “Robert” was absolutely great, made me a few coffees and was very helpful and polite..
My husband and I had a great time staying at the lvy Bush at the weekend. Sunday lunch was great hot and very tasty. The Garden Room was amazing warm beautiful bathroom ,Staff very friendly service was great, Will definitely stay there again.
Stayed last wkend 10 friends not young all booked together had 5 rooms 8 of us put on 1 foor 2 put on diff floor while we booked in another guy was booking in he had a room on our floor. Room was freezing going 2 use phone in room cord had been cut went 2 reception was told heating didn't come on until 5p.m so freeze if you go back before they provided us with a heater one of the other rooms also cold given heater 2 of the rooms toilets weren't working properlynLovely hotel but very disappointed with the facilitiesnAnd it was my 1st time to stay there, not sure I'd stay again
We’ve been staying at the Ivy Bush for two nights on our great Welsh adventure. The hotel is comfortable and clean although a little quaint, the breakfast is excellent with a wonderful selection of food. The staff have been really friendly and accommodating throughout our stay. We are travelling with our well behaved dog unfortunately we couldn’t use the restaurant or the bar area unless we sat outside, we found this not very dog friendly! We’ve stayed in some wonderful hotels that allow dogs in an area of the bar or restaurant. This made us spend our money on dinner and cocktails outside the hotel.
