Had the Christmas day menu, it exceeded all expectations! It was delivered fully cooked on Christmas eve with full reheating instructions. The food did not taste reheated and was really delicious with plenty of it. Such good value and would definitely do again next year !

If I could give more stars for the food and service I would. I had popped in for a light lunch, but when I saw and smelt the Carvery I couldn't resist and it was definitely worth it. The staff was brilliantService: 5/5

Great location in the middle of town, and some really lovely staff, especially the blonde lady who managed breakfast service while I was there. She was amazing, super efficient and simply couldn't do enough. Breakfast was good, and I loved the historic nature of the place - it's very old! The outside looked great, but once inside it felt oddly cramped, with very steep stairs and small rooms - guess that's the down side of a building this old. Overall it was a clean and pleasant place to stay, and good value for money, so I'd stay again.

Came here and had a lovely roast dinner. The food was spectacular. The staff were friendly and very accommodating. The price was very reasonable. Definitely will come back and highly recommend.Rooms: 5/5

I booked into this hotel for work purposes. It was a last minute arrangement and considering the price I paid it was exactly what I expected. The room was large but very dated and in serious need of a refurbishment. Having said that, the bed was comfortable, the en suite was clean with a good shower and the two members of staff who greeted me were both very pleasant.

The rooms are fairly dirty and the water tastes pretty bad. There are a lot of curvy staircases that make it difficult for seniors to access their room and there is no handicapped access for the rooms. The free breakfast however, is quite good. If you are looking for food while staying there, I recommend considering the Rose & Crown which has extremely good food. I cannot however vouch for their rooms, as I have not stayed there.

Lovely old style hotel, rooms were nice. Felt like climbing a mountain with steep stairs lol. Carpark is a bit tight but ideal location as only few minutes walk into town center.Rooms: 5/5

Fantastic beef sandwich great chips, lovely carvery. Though sandwich which comes with potatoes stuffing and gravy is better value. Coffee is great.Rooms: 5/5
